Pinkline leather whip by Spartacus

My boyfriend, W, and I have never really ventured into the deeper parts of bondage and/or BDSM activities. I own a pair of fur-lined leather wrist cuffs, but we haven't really felt up to using them very often. But recently, I've been finding myself completely fascinated with the ideas.

When I saw the Pinkline whip, I was desperately curious. When it came in, I was a little disappointed with its size, but couldn't wait to see what it felt like.

When dragged slowly across the skin, the leather strips practically tickle, sending shivers anywhere they go. When using a bit of force, the sensations become sharp and pinching. When using full power, it definitely hurts, but doesn't leave a long-lasting mark or break the skin.

It doesn't seem to be able to get too much harder than that, which I think would be a good thing for those who are brand new to the style of play, but a bad thing for those that are looking for more of an edge.

It's comfortable to hold on to, but feels a bit like it'd be easy to tear/fall apart. Cleaning seems simple enough, as far as cleaning leather goes, which isn't all that easy. You can find good details about how to clean it online, but generally I've found that wiping it down with a damp towel works if it isn't too dirty. Just make sure to dry it well and keep it in a clean place. The small ring on the end of the handle provides a good hanging tool, and I love hanging it up in my room.

As a beginning to our ventures into BDSM activities, I think the Pinkline whip does a great job at giving us a glimpse into the sensations and possibilities. It's a great addition to my very slowly growing collection of "alternative" style toys.
