This whip is great for beginners, whether those really interested in BDSM, or simply those looking to branch out and try something different. The feeling can be over soft or sharp, but doesn't seem to be able to break the skin or cause real damage, which can be a good or bad thing. The tails fall almost evenly. I did notice that one or two strips hang a little longer, but that's it. I do think it's made a tiny bit cheaply, but for under $30 I think it is pretty well done, and I like the way it looks. I haven't noticed any residue left afterward, but if I notice it later as I continue to use it, I'll let you know.
