Pinkline leather whip review

The Pinkline Leather Whip provided us a great introduction into whip play, and we will certainly be using it again and again for a long time to come.

It always makes for a great afternoon (and even greater evening) when your much anticipated new toy arrives. This time, the source of that excitement was the Pinkline Leather Whip.

As I removed the slender whip from its box, I remember thinking, “That’s it?! I thought this was supposed to be a toy, not a novelty.” I had envisioned a whip with a little more girth to it, and my excitement waned slightly as I realized that it was smaller than I had anticipated. However, it didn’t take long to rekindle my interest as I removed the device from its sealed plastic wrapper, feeling the surprisingly soft leather; it enticed my senses with its deviously familiar scent.
The dynamics of this whip are incredible. When flicked lightly from above, the leather tendrils just dance across the skin, individually touching and tickling, as the indulgence of its teasing overshadows the anticipation of what’s to come. When draped across various parts of the body, the whip is then moved, allowing the tendrils to almost slither across the skin in a fluid like motion. Finally, WHAP! It hits you. The feeling is not at all sharp or stinging but more of a dull, muted smack. It’s just enough to bring you back from the euphoria of your teasing but still leave you craving more.
For the wielder, this whip is very forgiving and would make it somewhat difficult to get carried away with if you become swept up in the moment. In fact, when swung with some force, the handle will actually flex in your grip; we discovered that it was constructed of more wrapped leather as opposed to a rigid core  That wrapped leather handle, however, did make for another great spanking tool|Spanking and Flogging - Sex Guides and Tips. By turning the whip around and gripping the base of the leather strands, you can easily use the handle portion of the whip to deliver some more precise blows, capable of stinging and leaving some deliciously faint red lines as evidence of your escapades.

Being that this whip is constructed of leather, cleanup must be done with a little bit of care. Wipe down the dirty area of the whip with a slightly moist towel or rag, being careful not to get the leather overly wet. When clean, soak up any remaining moisture in that area with a dry towel. If necessary (or if leather becomes dry or begins cracking) apply a leather treating oil. Cleanup takes less than five minutes. The plus side is that it’s a toy that doesn’t really get as messy as most so doesn’t often require cleaning.

Despite my initial impression, one evening with some rope and the Pinkline Leather whip has left me incredibly pleased.
Follow-up commentary
A year and a half after our initial review, and the whip is still going strong. Granted, we don't use it very often (maybe get it out once a month?!), and there's not much that could really go wrong with a small leather whip; but none-the-less, it remains in perfect shape. There is no deteriorating of the leather, none of the strands are broken or ripped, and the handle is still wound quite tightly. Overall, I'd still say that this is a nice entry level whip for couples looking into trying so light BDSM, and it doesn't look intimidating enough to scare anyone off.
