I requested the Sparkle Specter specifically for anal use, which is what my review focuses on. Recently I have been experimenting with different anal pleasures; butt plugs, beads, prostate massagers and glass dildos. I was really excited to try this dildo out because of the swirled texture.
I started out my adventure like any other, took a shower to relax and freshen up, and then used smaller toys and water based lube to loosen up. It ended up that the loosening up portion of my routine was really just over kill because this guy glided in without hesitation. But to my dismay I did not like the feeling of the textured swirls. They were painful to pass over the opening of my anus in the thrusting motion I enjoy. So instead I tried screwing it in and out and that was no good either. The thing just plain hurt my butt.
Now, looking back, I realize that this is meant for vaginal use but I have always been a dreamer. The toy itself is well made, though it looks a little on the sketchy side when you first get it, it did not come with a padded bag! Forgetting about the packaging and lack of a storage bag, the dildo is very pretty. It is non-porous, phthalates free, and hypo-allergenic making the toy perfect for anyone that worries about such things. The gem though is it can be washed in the dishwasher, bleached or boiled for a thorough cleaning.
So, in trying to be fair, I plan on giving this dildo a four star rating because it is everything it claims to be. It is made very well, attractive, and the only reason I did not like it is because of the special feature it advertises. Now the only thing I have to do is figure out what to do with the thing.

How long is it? How thick? How big is the bulbed end? How raised are the swirls?
I wondering the same things as Carrie Ann. Mainly how raised are the swirls? I am wondering if a thicker lube would make a difference, maybe a thick silicone lube would help it lessen the swirl pain.
I love the color of this!
