The Galaxy vibe Jupiter is a good inexpensive vibe for someone looking for an easy to use vibe for fun. The price is right for good times with this device.

Use

The Galaxy is what it says it is, a Vibrator with a unique spiral ridge down the shaft. Used mainly for Clitoral and Vaginal stimulation, we've been able to use this for a bit of anal play (with some prior prep work) as well. It's a little larger than you'd think, and the first spiral of the ridge makes it a little fun to work in like a corkscrew.

The vibration of it is decent as well and you can tell there's something buzzing between your legs when working with this vibe.

Material / Texture

The Galaxy is made of a soft rubber that actually bends a little towards the tip. It's easy to clean and take care of and has held up over the years of use. The "new car smell" goes away with time and use as well as careful cleaning and isn't an issue at all.

Design / Shape / Size

The other review on the Galaxy likened it to working with a juicer, which is understandable if you use it as a traditional smooth vibrator or dildo. The spiral really works best if you twist the vibrator as you work it in and out like a corkscrew.

The additional spiraling motion helps to enhance the experience and makes it a little less "painful". It's not recommended for beginning anal play as it's a little large and the ridge is uncomfortable at first, but it makes a good toy for later on.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The "on/off" and speed switch is one knob on the bottom of the vibe. It's pretty easy to use one handed (especially if the other hand is occupied) and does a pretty good job of getting the speed set right. It's a little tough to get it to the right setting, but the rotating speed switch makes it easy to vary the speed and intensity of the vibration.

It's not waterproof, so you can't use it in the tub, but it does clean up easily with water if you're careful.

Care and Maintenance

Care of the Galaxy is pretty straightforward, we've mostly used it with water-based lube which washes up fairly easily with water and a little antibacterial soap; then dry it with a towel. We've kept it in a drawer next to our bed and it's been great!

Personal comments

It's a good vibe for someone who wants a basic device. For the price you can't go wrong.

Experience

My wife received this as a bachelorete gift before our wedding. I think I've probably used it for anal play more than she's used it for vaginal.

The spiral design with the vibration is pretty nice once you get used to the size.

This toy should not be used for anal play as it does not have a flared base. Things like this can get lost in you. Trust me, it happens.

There are a ton of really awesome vibes and dildos with flared bases on edenfantasys.com that you should check out before you use this one for anal again. I have a feeling that would be a very embarrassing trip to the emergency room.. good review Smile

I agree with the above comments that this toy is not designed for anal play and could potentially be quite dangerous if used as such. Furthermore, if you and your wife are sharing this toy, it is imperative that you cover the toy with a condom for safety reasons. This toy is made from jelly, which is very porous and cannot be sterilized. Thanks for the review.

Jelly toys are super porous and cannot be sanitized properly. As a community we recommend using a condom with a jelly toy everytime, and especially when switinching between orifices or partners. It will extend the useful life of the toy and prevent infection.
