LingO? More like HellnO!

The LingO is a powerfully quiet little vibrator designed to be worn around the tongue. However, the toy fails to stay on the tongue as designed, at least in my experience. Alternatively, it could be used as a very discreet finger vibrator. I would not recommend this toy for oral use as the vibrator itself does not appear to be truly waterproof and may result in a potential hazard.

Use

The LingO is a small, disposable vibrator designed to be worn around the tongue for the purpose of adding a twist to oral sex. The vibrator is small and the band could easily be worn around a finger and used as a finger vibe if preferred. While it is intended for use on the clitoris, this toy could also be used to stimulate any erogenous zone on women or men alike.

Material / Texture

The LingO is made of a TPR silicone which is very soft and stretchy. The material is latex free, phthalates free, hypoallergenic, non-porous, and has no smell or taste associated with it which is especially nice given that it goes in your mouth. The surface of the toy is covered with varying sizes of raised bumps designed to provide "enhanced pleasure." We did not find that the bumps added anything additional to the experience beyond the vibrations themselves.

The bullet itself seems to be composed of a hard plastic shell, although no information was provided on the packaging or the EF product page.

Design / Shape / Size

The LingO consists of two pieces: a TPR sleeve with tongue band and the bullet itself. The sleeve is approximately 1 1/4" long and 1" wide. The underside of the sleeve has "under-tongue snug nubs" designed to grip onto the tongue. These nubs consist of horizontal raised striations. The tongue band is extremely stretchy and contains raised ridges on the inner surface, also to help grip the tongue. I was able to stretch the band around a 2 1/2" diameter lid (7.85" circumference), so it should be able to accommodate anyone, even Gene Simmons.

The bullet is just over 1" in length in about 1/2" in diameter. The On/Off consists of a simple switch on one end of the bullet. The surface of the bullet contains raised ridges to hold it in place inside the sleeve. Unfortunately, the On/Off switch is placed towards the back of your mouth when worn, so turning it On/Off can be difficult once it's on your tongue.

The size of the LingO is pretty small, although I personally found it a little uncomfortable to hold the toy in my mouth for any prolonged period of time. And because of the small size, the toy is very discreet and easily transportable.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Despite its miniature size, the LingO actually packs quite a punch. The bullet only has one speed and is quite buzzy as one would expect given the size. However, I have to say I was impressed with the amount of power it was able to generate. Additionally, the vibrations seemed to be fairly equally distributed along the entire vibrator. The toy is also surprisingly quiet and could barely be heard when in use. Since the toy is marketed as waterproof, I did submerge the vibrator briefly in water and it worked without any problems (see Personal Comments below). The packaging also claims that the toy should last for at least 40 minutes of play time. I let the vibrator run and the batteries lasted for almost 55 minutes. The toy is designed as a disposable and the batteries are not intended to be replaced.

Care and Maintenance

Since the vibrator sleeve is made of TPR, it can not be sterilized. Therefore, clean the sleeve with either a toy cleaner or antibacterial soap and warm water. Although the vibrator is waterproof, I would suggest taking the bullet out of the sleeve to ensure thorough cleaning. The bullet itself can either be washed or wiped down.

Given that this is a tongue vibrator, lubricants are typically not necessary. However, should you desire to use a lubricant, such as a flavored lube, please use only water based products. Since the original packaging is not suitable for storage, it can be kept in a small Ziploc bag. It is not much of a lint/hair magnet but should be kept separated from other toys to prevent potential material interactions.

Packaging

The packaging is minimal and consists of a blister card with the toy contained in a plastic shell. While there are no pornographic images, the front of the package clearly states that it is a "Vibrating tongue ring." Both sides of the cardboard backing highlight the various features of the toy.

The packaging is not useful for storage, nor would I necessarily consider it appropriate for gifting. It's also one of those awkward shapes I absolutely hate having to gift wrap. This is the type of item that gift bags were invented for.

Personal comments

Although the toy is "waterproof," I found after the first use that there were some suspicious rust stains along the seam of the bullet itself. I decided to open the bullet and discovered that the batteries inside were rusting. Obviously the bullet is not completely waterproof and suffered some damage when I immersed the toy in water for testing. Because of this flaw, I can not recommend this toy be used as intended due to the potential hazard that it poses. I think it could still be used safely externally, as long as caution was used to not get the bullet wet.

Experience

I was not able to keep the vibrator on my tongue while performing oral sex on my wife. Despite the "under-tongue snug nubs" designed to keep the vibrator in place, any action by my tongue caused the vibrator to slide right off. I was able to keep it at the very tip of my tongue, but again it fell off as soon as I tried to do anything. The best I could do was to use my tongue to press the LingO against my wife's clit. This was neither stimulating nor exciting for either of us. For the time that I kept it on, I did not notice that the vibrations were uncomfortable for my tongue.

The overall size of the LingO was large enough that it was uncomfortable to keep inside of my mouth. I had to either keep my mouth open or extend my tongue with the vibrator outside of my mouth.

The vibe is surprisingly powerful given the tiny size, and it did function well as a mini bullet. The problem was that it is so small that it's actually awkward to hold for prolonged periods of time. I also tried placing the strap around my finger, but again it placed the vibrator in an awkward position to really manipulate well.
Follow-up commentary
While I obviously no longer have this item, I've been doing some research on comparable toys. It seems that tongue vibrators, as currently designed, just don't work well at all. And as a finger vibe, it worked okay at best. However, there are comparably priced finger vibes on the market that perform as well or better and have replaceable batteries, so I find it difficult to recommend this item to anyone.
