"Pretty" is good, but you have to be able to back it up!

If you enjoy smooth, hard materials and don't require deep/rumbly vibrations to get off, you'll love this toy. It's a bit buzzy but not intense/numbing. Elegant gift-like packaging makes it a joy to explore the contents.

Makes a great gift, discreet design/shape, elegant in all aspects visually.

Use

This is a tiny thing, and in fact fits in between my two fingers extended quite nicely so that it's *almost* like an extension. It's for clitoral use (or nipple teasing, as many small vibes are good for) or external-only teasing of the anus, penis/balls. It's really small enough (and cordless) to not get in the way during sex - just don't lose the darn thing between the sheets!!

Material / Texture

As the details page tells you, it's plastic. Not much to expound on there. Smooth, hard plastic. I think the plug for the charging port, and the material surrounding the button is silicone.

Design / Shape / Size

It's pretty tiny, and even I was surprised at how tiny when I got it. Let's compare it to a pocket rocket - it would be just about as long as your average PR, and about as wide up top where the button is, but tapers down to finger size & width. I personally would have preferred it to be a little bit more bulbous/wider at the point of contact with my clit (which is supposed to be the tip).

The buttons can lock for travel, and it includes possibly one of the nicest pouches I've seen included with a toy (more later), so it's very good for travel - it can even recharge via a usb cable! The size is discreet but the button end (decorative) that lights up isn't. It's not super bright but...it can be used as a mini LED flashlight in a pinch is all I'm saying. No, seriously, I used it as a flashlight to find something in the dark the other night. It has this orchid detail on the tip as you can see in their photos, and that is what has an LED light beneath it (sadly it did not project the orchid design onto my ceiling which could have been cool for a brief moment). The silicone band surrounding the up-down buttons also glows the same purple-white LED but only when a button is pressed. The tip stay lit the whole time.

The blue color of mine is pretty - in the photos on EF it almost appears to be a shinier almost-metallic blue but I guess that's just the lighting and how it was photographed. It's just a nice, one-dimensional medium-dark shade of blue but I still like it. The blue/purple tint to the white LED lighting accents adds to the color, even if it takes away from the discretion side.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Vibrations: I purchased this because the other review I read of it made me think it was more in the thuddy/rumbly camp of vibrations as opposed to buzzy. It's buzzy. Even on the two lower speed settings where it *feels* like it could be thuddy (the motor actually just sounds off balance, but on purpose) and sounds thuddy....it's still not. I've seen this toy rated at a 4-vroom and I am trying to put aside my own sensitivity issues in saying that I firmly feel this is a 3-vroom at best.

When you get to the third and most "powerful" plain setting, and then onto a few of the pulsation settings, the noise level does increase. Still not bad, but I'd say that the Wahl on low is much more silent than this. If I could give it a 2.5 I would.

There is one button that can be pressed "up" or "down". Really all it does is cycle completely through the 3 plain settings and the 4 patterns. You have to depress either up or down for a full 3 seconds or 4, for it to turn off, and in doing so that changes your setting. When you turn it back on it's at the same setting you left it.....which would be nice if that was actually the setting you had been using prior to trying to turn it off, if that makes sense. To turn it on you also just hold a button for a few seconds.

I'd prefer if there were separate controls for power level and then pulsation settings, but that's asking a lot for such a tiny toy.

Another reviewer said that the control pad seemed overly sensitive, and I didn't find this to be the case consistently.

CHARGING:
You can charge this baby two ways - usb to your computer, or wall outlet. The wall outlet method will be faster. The toy will blink when it's charging and stop blinking when it's done. The usb cable plugs into the wall charger piece, and the prongs for the charger unfold - when it's all separated the wall charger bit is a rectangular plastic box with no protrusions for easy traveling. Since the LED lights can get a little bright in the dark, I kept might in the bag while it charged overnight.

It arrived charged, but I don't think it was fully charged. I did squeeze a little more intensity out of it once I charged it overnight after arrival. Still not enough to warrant 4-vrooms, though.
    • Easy to use
    • Long lasting power
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

You can store it in the box with everything else, but the outside of the box isn't exactly discrete so you couldn't leave it out. Since there's no top to the inner purple portion of the box, you can't do that either. So just use the really gorgeous storage pouch they include.

It's splash-proof but but waterproof. The manual says no alcohol to clean it, which I personally don't understand but hey. Toy cleaners and wipes don't usually contain alcohol either. So use those, or just a washcloth with antibacterial soap and hot water. Oh and don't use massage oil or hand lotion as lube *shrugs*.

Packaging

Holy hell opening up this toy is like opening an elaborate gift. It really had my hopes up about the toy, I have to admit.

You lift off the top of the box to reveal a light purple inner box that's open on top - where the toy is nestled in hard foam - and has what appears to be a little pull out drawer below. So you grasp the ribbon and pull and pull and it's not a drawer. It's another box! Lift up the hinged lid by the ribbon and you find the accouterments. The faux-brushed-suede gray bag with metal accents on the strings is wrapped up neatly in a little sleeve. The usb cable is in a bag. The wall-plug portion is nestled in more foam - actually firmly shoved is more like it. I broke a nail trying to pry it out.

There is a tiny product catalog which does nothing more than show photos of more products than EF currently carries (they look pretty!) and a brand/mission statement in a whole bunch of languages. There is a manual artfully packaged in a small cardboard envelope.
    • Good for storage
    • Not discreet
    • Would make a nice gift

Experience

I really wanted to like this toy more. But the only thing I didn't like was the power intensity and the type of vibrations - I do not respond well to mediocre and buzzy. I *did* eventually get off once or twice. But most times I gave up and moved to another toy.

Opening this packaging up for the first time was all girly and ooo-ing and aaahh-ing and omg-lookit!! It's classy, and elegant and beautiful.

I just wish it had the power to back it up. Or at least a better type of vibrations motor. I've seen rumbly & deep (not surface-only) vibrations come from pocket rockets (albeit, cheaper ones) and bullets (like the Doc Johnson Harmony Bullet, specifically) so I know that it is possible to get that lower-pitched rumbly sort of vibration type from a small toy. I guess the question is.....is it possible to get it from a rechargeable small toy? Perhaps not.

To compare this to another USB-charged mini vibe, it's a little bigger than the Lelo Mia, and not quite as buzzy. Maybe possibly a hair stronger but I can't say for sure as I gave my Mia away recently.

I think others will enjoy this toy, for those whose clits are more sensitive. The smooth plastic allows for easy massage of the clit without needing a lot of lube (no drag like silicone can give), but if you like texture you're out of luck here. This can be a great addition for the hetero-couple, as it's not too overpowering for him to enjoy being teased with the vibrations.
Follow-up commentary
I still can't like the surface/buzzy motor in this vibe, but I can recognize that it's a nice toy and some might like it. I did a follow-up post over at my blog that includes photos I took of the vibe lit up in use, the box, etc.
