Naturals gel lubricant - lubricant discontinued by Wet Lubricants - review by Alicia

Wet Naturals is a brand of lubricants that I love. I had the beautifully bare and the sensual strawberry and loved those so I figured I should give the silky supreme a try. Thing is, I was hesitant to try a silicone lubricant. Why is that you ask? Well, I had never used one and I didn't really understand the point. Since silicone lubricants can't be used on silicone toys I wasn't sure what the point of having a lubricant I couldn't use on certain toys was. To me, I figured I could just use the water based ones for all purposes and so it made more sense to just use those and those only...and then I tried this silicone one. I can definitely say that I understand now. The reason why people buy silicone lubricant is because it rocks. At least this one does, but I'm fairly certain that most perform in a similar manner.

I chose this particular silicone based lubricant because it's made from Wet Naturals and it's glycerin and paraben free. It's hypo-allergenic and pH balanced. On top of all that it's also enriched with Vitamin E to soothe and moisturize. Wet Naturals Silky Supreme is specially formulated for sensitive skin. This lubricant is latex safe, but it's important to remember that this is not a spermicidal lubricant and is not a contraceptive.


It comes in a 3oz bottle and it's also available in a smaller 1.5 oz bottle, which would be great for travel or if you don't have a lot of room. The 3 oz bottle has a rounded shape and has a flip top cap. While it would be lovely if the Wet Naturals lubricants would come in a pump form, the flip top cap is easy to open and it's possible to apply with only one hand. Each lubricant in the line has its own color bottle, which makes it easy to tell which one is which. The Silky Supreme comes in a purple shade with a pearly purple cap and purple flowers on the bottle. It's pretty discreet, though people who know what lubricant is would most likely recognize that this is what is in the bottle. But for people with young children you don't have to worry about any graphic language on the bottle or any kind of inappropriate pictures. My daughter has actually found a bottle of it before and handed it to me saying that she found my hair gel. Let's just hope she doesn't ever decide to try out my "hair gel"..

Speaking of having to wash things out...this lubricant is easily washed away with mild soap and water. I didn't feel the need to wash it off after using it though, we just waited until the next morning. So, if you're like me and like to have sex right before going to sleep, don't worry you can definitely use this and then drift off into a satisfied blissful sleep without having to go take a shower or otherwise wash this lubricant off. In fact, I felt that this lubricant did well in moisturizing my labia.

While it washes off with soap and water you can definitely use this in the shower and not have to worry about your lubricant washing away. This is another definite plus and it allows shower sex to be a lot more inviting. The only situation I would say that I wouldn't recommend using this lubricant is for oral sex. While it has virtually no scent it has a very lube like taste and I'll be only using this when I won't be going back and forth between oral sex and other activities.

This lubricant feels slightly oily in my hand. That's probably the only thing I don't like about it. It felt a bit greasy, though when it is applied and actually used for lubricant it doesn't give this same feel. It also absorbed into my hand once I had applied it and I wasn't left with a gross feeling hand the whole time, it was just different from the feel of water based lubricants which is what I was used to. It is rather thin, though it didn't feel lacking in the lubrication department. It lubricated very well without having to be thick and plump. It's important to remember that with this lubricant a little goes a long way. You really don't need too much to get adequate lubrication. With a 3 oz bottle this lubricant should last a good long while.

When we tried this silicone based lubricant I started off using it for a hand job, it glided well over my husband's skin and felt similar to an oil based lubricant that we had. It lasted pretty well, which was nice, I didn't need to reapply which is something that I frequently need to do with water based lubricants. When we used it for sex I found that it lasted well that way as well. I also think that this lubricant felt extremely natural and allowed us to not really feel like lubricant was being used at all. We just found we glided with each other easier having this on. With me on top I found that I was able to feel more even while making lesser movements, it was pretty awesome and I find it amazing that something as simple as a change in lubricant can make things feel entirely different.
