G-spot vibrator discontinued
by PHS International

The cutest vibrator ever!

Overall, this is a great toy whose only real drawback is its lack of waterproofing. However, its strong vibration, pointed tip, and yes, appearance, make it a happy addition to my toy box. I'm glad this was my first!

Use

"My Pet" by PHS International, or marketed as "Perfect Pet" when I bought it at Babeland, is probably the cutest vibrator that exists. It's made of plastic and silicone, which, while non-porous, should be washed thoroughly between partners. The toy is meant for clitoral and vaginal use, but its pointed tip provides great concentrated stimulation that could be used on many areas such as the nipples. While the tip has a slight curve, for me it wasn't enough to get really good G-spot stimulation. At 1.5" in diameter, it's pretty accessible to everyone, but the ridges do make the toy feel bigger. It's mostly for solo use - while one could feasibly use it during partnered using, its long handle makes it difficult to direct if there's someone on/near you.

Material / Texture

The handle of the Pet is plastic, with a safety rating of 8, but the majority of the shaft is covered in silicone, which earns a 10. Both materials are phthalate-free and nonporous, which makes cleaning simple. However, since it's silicone, do not use silicone-based lubes with this toy - pick up a water-based instead! There's no odor whatsoever. The toy is very smooth, except for the four ridges extending from just below the curve to the base of the silicone. These may enhance pleasure for some or be uncomfortable for others. Because it is silicone, though, the vibrator can drag a bit, and with the ridges I definitely recommend using some lube to help it slip right in and not cause discomfort.

The Pet is available in pink, blue, and purple. Coupled with the design, it's a pretty stereotypically "feminine" toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is what makes this toy! I have the blue Pet, which is more of a turquoise color. The Pet is 6" long and 1.5" in diameter, and there are four ridges that bulge out slightly that run down the insertable length of the toy. The battery compartment is accessible via a crystal cap at the bottom of the toy. The most unique aspect and where the Pet gets his name is from the fact that embedded on the tip of the Pet there's a rounded tip that provides exquisite pressure; just below that is the face of what looks to be an otter, complete with whiskers! It's not drawn deep or raised enough to affect sensation - just makes it super cute!

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Pet has only one button, labeled On/Off, that affects the controls. One push of the button turns the toy onto a high, constant buzz. Another push gets to a lower, more rumbly buzz that feels less intense but may be a more pleasurable sensation for some. The next push is even lower and faster, again more rumbling. The fourth setting is the first but with a long buzz, a pause, a short buzz, a pause, a short buzz, a pause, a short buzz, and then repeats. It's great for teasing yourself either clitorally or inside of you. The fifth push of the button turns the toy off. I find it pretty difficult to hit the button accidentally, but I can see how some people might.

The toy isn't loud, but it's definitely not quiet - I'd rate it a solid 3, right in the middle. I wouldn't use it when a roommate was around, but no one should hear it with a closed door and possibly a blanket over you.

The Pet requires 3 triple-A batteries, and has a battery compartment that slides out so it's super easy to load. It does work with rechargeable batteries, so go crazy!

Care and Maintenance

The Pet is NOT waterproof, which is its one major drawback. Do not take this in the shower or bath, and be careful when cleaning it! However, cleaning it is simple. While I wouldn't recommend running it under water since it's not waterproof, a warm washcloth or a toy wipe is all you need. The ridges may collect some fluids, though, so be careful to clean thoroughly! Since you don't want this toy to interact with other silicone toys, keep it in its packaging or store it in a Ziploc baggie. DO NOT use silicone lube!

Experience

This was my first-ever vibrator, and I loved it! The ridges are a bit too much for me, however - even lubed up, they're uncomfortable on insertion and removal most of the time. I either like to leave the toy in on tease mode while I do something, or, more commonly, use it clitorally. It's a GREAT clit stimulator, since its pointed tip provides sensation exactly where you want it.
Follow-up commentary
While I don't use this as often as some of my other vibes, I still pull it out when I want fun patterns. It's every bit as powerful as it was when I first got it, and the controls are still functioning perfectly. Nothing to complain about here - this toy was made to last, and nearly two years later it's still going!

Thanks for the nice review. I think the reason why it's uncomfortable for insertion is because of its weird shaped head - it's thicker than the shaft.

Rossie, that's definitely a contributor, and I make sure to use plenty of lube when getting that in. For me, though, it's the ridges that I can feel upon insertion that make it uncomfortable.
