The Checkmates the bishop is a Mini vibrator for the clit or insertion. It is sleek, yet shapely, has multiple speeds and is waterproof.
Some may find chess boring but I no longer do because of this velvety, evenly distributed vibrating bishop. Though because of the smaller size the vibrations tend to be in the lower to mid end range, it is not enough to count it out!

Design / Shape / Size
It is a classic looking vibrator despite it's curves. The royal purple color is very deep and beautiful to look at. The vibrator stands at 5 1/2" with about 3 that is insertable. The diamater varies from 1 1/4" down, the biggest points are at the ends which are rounded.
You can notice the seam on the toy slightly but it's more just you can tell where it was cut, it doesn't stick out at all. The white plastic part screws off to hold the batteries. It has a nice waterproof seal that doesn't let anything in at all. I was very comfortable with taking it in the tub without worry.
It takes one AAA battery, which isn't much, but it is a mini vibrator so keep that in mind.
I'm not exactly sure if peoples assumptions would be that this was a sex toy at first glance. It bares a resemblance to some sort of exercise weight.

Functions / Performance / Controls
The vibrations are pretty evenly distributed like I said before. You don't have to just use the tip you can use it on it's side or even the bottom. It feels very nice on it's side as a massage tool, especially on the back because of the curves. It's very quiet even on it's highest speed.
You control the vibrations at the bottom after the white part. It twists easily even with one hand use but won't just turn on without you turning it. It also won't take the battery section off at all while changing speeds, it's very secure. The vibrations go up to about a medium speed, so not your strongest vibe in the box but with the velvet feel and shape it is easy to get off with this fellow.

Ive been using the same battery thus far and haven't had a problem. But like with all my toys I take the batteries out when Im done.

Awesome review! I was looking at these the other day and this one as well as the other, I forgot it's name, but it's a bottle rocket too only it has amazing looking ridges all over! Starkiller - when assessing the power of a vibe you often need look no father than the # and size of the batteries. A single AA will be stronger than a single AAA - etc. There are design differences but 1st look for power. 2 AA batteries is the minimum for a reasonably well made vibe to deliver 3-4 vrooms!
