Cinch It Up

With the Vibrating Cinch Ring, California Exotic provides a way to add some vibration to your sex life without having to worry about cutting off too much blood flow to your penis. The vibrator is small and uses two watch batteries and the packaging includes two sets of batteries. The TPR material is very stretchy which keeps the cock ring from being uncomfortable. It is very easy to put on and even easier to take off – maybe a little too easy.

extremely useful review
The Vibrating Cinch Ring by California Exotic represents a pretty good idea. The overall concept is good. Take a stretchy lasso style cock ring and put a small (2) watch battery vibrator on top of it to provide vibration for your partner. They even give you four batteries, so you don’t need to make a battery run before starting to use it. The ring is made out of thermo-plastic rubber (TPR) which is a very stretchy material. The TPR material makes the ring easy to put on and comfortable while in place. Since it is lasso style, the ring is also easy to adjust and remove. The stretchiness of the material also means that there is not anything to hold the end of the lasso in place well. This is where the concept fails.

Following a completely failed experience with this ring, a re-design may be necessary. The main problem has to do with the hole that is holding the end of the lasso. It is so stretchy that it just can’t hold against any amount of movement. The entire ring was cast aside after trying to keep it in place four different times. Maybe if there was a second hole next to the first one the end of the lasso could be pulled through one hole and then tucked through the other hole. This would make putting it on, taking it off, and adjusting it more difficult, but at least it might stay in place better. Another solution might be to have a plastic core inside the piece with the hole so that the hole would hold its shape.

Regardless of the best way to re-design this toy, this toy does provide decent vibration with a high-pitched whine. If it would stay in place better, it might be possible to get the vibration in the right spot. The vibrator is easy to remove for cleaning. The ring material is better than jelly, but not as good as silicone. It can’t be sterilized, so no sharing. It’s okay to use any lube except petroleum based, so that’s nice as well. The only real regret is that there wasn't really a way to get the concept to work.
Experience
After my partner and I were playing and she had already worked my cock up to a pretty erect state, I put the Vibrating Cinch Ring on and turned it on. It came loose almost immediately. I put it back on and she proceeded to give me a blow job and said that it was interesting feeling my penis vibrating slightly inside her mouth. Once I was nice and hard, I asked her to climb on top for a classic cowgirl position. She said that that the vibration was pretty close to where it needed to be. We re-positioned a little and found that the ring had already slipped loose. I put it back on, we re-positioned again and it came loose again. By this time we were both pretty frustrated with it and tossed it aside to continue our session. It’s too bad because we were hoping for more.

sorry it was such a flop..I've found several toys lately that have a great concept but don't follow through..and were disappointing...
hopefully the next one will work better!
    Thanks for the review!

I understand your frustration with toys that had cool concepts but fail in execution. It makes me wonder if sex toy companies should look for people to test their products--just to see if it * functions * correctly--before they release new products. Nice review.

Interesting idea but I can see how it fails. Lame.

Fooey. Interesting idea for sure though...

Thanks for the condolences, everyone. Big smile
It's interesting when sex toy companies think outside the box and I think they should be commended for it, but some testing needs to be performed to make sure it actually works with real people in real situations. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to have happened here.

    Very nice review! Big smile

Sorry you didn't like this ring, its a shame that the design seemed to be poor.

I am going to be reviewing a TPR cock ring in the near future and found it hard to find information on the materiel. I found a little bit, but mostly that it is used in toothbrushes and screw driver handles. Such a tough materail to find anything about Sad face

Thanks for the compliment, Viktor. Most of what I have found has indicated that TPR (thermal plastic rubber) and TPE (thermal plastic elastomer) are basically the same thing. In sex toys it is usually a soft and stretchy material that can be phthalate free depending on what softeners are being employed. It is more definable than jelly, but not as good as silicone.

    Scary looking!

Yeah, ~LaUr3n~, this one really didn't work at all. That's presumably why EdenFantasys never picked it up.
