The silicone base ring makes a good seal onto the shaft and provides good cushion to keep it from cutting into your skin. It does make it a bit harder to remove but just make sure you push the purge valve to release the suction.

The opening of the base ring is 1 1/8" diameter but will stretch to the 2 1/2" inner diameter of the tube with ease. You get 8" of usable length inside the tube, so if you are less than six inches long regularly this pump should work for you. If you are longer you may want to find something longer. You get a 12" long hose and the bulb is 4 1/2" with the purge valve.

There is no doubt what this is used for so for storage and travel, use your best judgment.

I found that three or four pumps are enough to get things going, once hard another one or two was plenty to get another half an inch of length. Any more than that caused discomfort, good thing the purge valve works great and fast.

Cleaning is a snap, soap and water will work as well as a toy cleaner. If sharing you boil the base ring and use Isopropyl alcohol on the plastic. You could also toss both of them into the dishwasher with no soap. If you happen to get lube or sperm in the hose you could also clean it like the base ring. Just make sure it is dry before storing.

This could be used in the shower if you want, but the water based lube will not last long. The nice part is everything comes apart easily so getting everything dry should not be a problem.

You can store it in the original packaging or toss it in a drawer.

Aside from doing what a good pump should, one thing I though worth mentioning is the base ring. Out of the three rings I have used, this one works the best. The other two worked as long as I held the tube upright, as soon as I let it go and it leaned over, the suction would be lost. With this one I had no such problem; it stayed upright and held the suction great. I could even get it to hold pressure on just the head of my cock, of course this took holding the tube from going down but still, this is the first one that I could use like this.
