This toy was definitely designed
I have been hearing about the Bend Over Boyfriend series for quite some time now, so, being a huge fan of
strap-on (I have my own strap-on blog), I must say I was very excited to be able to review
Bend Over Boyfriend 2. Now, having seen it - I basically have two reviews. One is for your average sexy couple who is looking to experiment a bit and the other is for die-hard BDSM lifestylers. Here goes...
AVERAGE COUPLE: Overall, this sucked. The production quality was awful, I have seen better shot videos on the amateur porn sites. Then, they insisted upon trying to be cute and have a "concept" which was people all standing in line wanting to get their
Bend Over Boyfriend 1 DVD's signed by the filmmakers and a faux reporter interviewing each couple. We are then treated to watching that couple (or triple) perform strap-on with each other in the privacy of their bedroom. Problem is that the acting and writing is painfully bad throughout and actually made me cringe. And then, there's the sex itself. It was touch and go. There were one or two couples that I liked but, I will just tell you this - I actually
nodded off at least once in EACH SEQUENCE. In the middle of the DAY!
But the most troubling aspect of all this is that I thought this was designed to titillate the average loving couple looking to add strap-on to their lovemaking but most everyone is in leather and studs and using whips and... oh, you get the picture. Even Dr. Carol McQueen, our resident expert, is in one of those leather getups with all the cut-outs! My fear is that some unsuspecting guy or gal who is curious about trying this will buy this video and sit down with their lover to watch it and, hopefully, convince them to give it a go. But, along with the poor quality, all that domination gear, grungy look and dominatrix attitude could turn their partner off to the whole thing entirely! Which is a cryin' shame, because strap-on can be a really loving and hot addition to even the most vanilla bedroom.
BDSM LIFESTYLERS: Well, the production value still sucks, but if leather and whips is your thing you may find this erotic, but then again, you may also think –
been there, done that. BDSM is the underlying theme and female domination is definitely explored in many of the scenarios, although not to a really intense degree. There is also a lesbian couple who uses the strap-on as well (we mustn't forget them - the strap-on was probably INVENTED for them in the first place until it was co-opted by hetero couples!) But, sad to say, it's still kinda boring.
What a lame film!
I totally agree. The Bend over Series rather discourage people from trying. I guess the internet has enough sources for those who are curious.
