Playgirl: Surrender to Lust review

I’ve been clamouring for decent porn for some time, so I was really excited to receive this DVD (Playgirl: Surrender To Lust) through the post. From looking at the packaging, I gathered it would be very female friendly and high quality, particularly given the Playgirl branding attached to it.

Given the title of the DVD and the marketing blurb, I was expecting it to be really hot and full of passion. Unfortunately, after watching it, I wasn’t that impressed. It isn’t bad; everything is tastefully done, and it doesn’t seem like you’re watching a bunch of prostitutes or anything like that.

As I suspected, it’s very female friendly, with both parties (it’s primarily heterosexual couples) giving and receiving pleasure, and the settings are often romantic and with a storyline. But to point quite a fine point on it, most of scenes are more love-making than really hot, passionate sex. And don’t get me wrong; that’s probably what many women want out of their porn, but I’m one of these people who prefers their porn a little more hardcore and without all the storylines. I prefer porn in which the actors get down to it in as short a time as possible, leaving me to concentrate on the task at hand rather than having to skip through the DVD to the good bits.

So, what I’d say is this DVD is definitely more focussed on women; I can’t see many men being impressed by this at all. It could be quite couple friendly, but I could see the guy getting bored by it and starting to hit on his lady sooner than she was expecting. For those that like their sex scenes quite gentle and straightforward, this is a great DVD.

However, for those more into hardcore porn or those that like threesomes, anal, lesbian and group sex, I wouldn’t recommend this. You’ll find yourself skipping through to get to the good bits, and if you need your porn graphic to get you off, you’ll be wasting your money with this one.
