Easy Breezy

This powder is a wonderful multipurpose item. It's meant to be used as a dry shampoo to help you go longer between showers or to help you freshen up quickly when you can't get to a shower, but it can also be used to help soak up oils anywhere else on your body really.

Use

Intended to be a dry shampoo, this can also be used as an all over body powder. The added minerals that darken the powder make it better for darker hues, whether that be of hair or skin, however it blends well enough that you can use it without many problems unless you have very fair hair/skin.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

If you're not careful, you can end up with way more powder than you wanted in your hand, and it does go all over the place if you're not careful. It feels almost exactly like corn starch does and is nice and silky when you're touching it.

Taste / Aroma

I might not taste this, but the smell is just wonderful. The manufacturer doesn't define the scent, and it's hard for me to try and define it either. It has a light floral scent that reminds me a lot of the carpet powder you would sprinkle onto the carpet and vacuum up. I personally like it a lot, although others may not. In any case, the scent isn't overwhelming and adds a nice subtle touch to your natural scent.

Performance

There are a few different ways you can use this stuff. The first is as a dry shampoo, to soak up extra oils and to create extra body and volume. They even claim that it will "magically blend roots and can extend blowouts too." To use it as a dry shampoo, simply sprinkle it into your hair and work it around. You can use a comb to help work it through, or just your fingers. If you wanted, you could sprinkle it into your hand first and then run it through your hair. As a dry shampoo, it seems to work fairly well. It won't eliminate things like bedhead, but it will reduce the appearance of oil and make hair more manageable. It also does a halfway decent job of blending roots as well. I have a more extreme growout than this is meant to deal with, and it does blend my dark roots into the dyed blonde section pretty well. It even didn't do more than dull my hot pink while blending those roots a little bit. On my husband with darker hair (almost black) and no growout, it soaked up oils and left his hair looking a lot cleaner than it had been.

As a body powder, it goes on and smooths around nicely, although it is easy to make a mess. The powder can be used to help soak up any excess oils on your skin (like from a lotion) or to help make your skin feel a little bit smoother.

To get any excess off, you can dab at it with a damp towel or washcloth. It seems to wash out of clothing and other things just fine.

Packaging

The tin that this comes in is very nice and can easily be left out without worry that anybody will think it came from a sex shop. You get a total of 4.4 ounces, and the total weight is pretty light. The cap is a bit tricky though. It's hard to tell how it's supposed to open. It'll twist and twist and twist and nothing will happen, and it doesn't just flip up. Instead you remove the whole cap by pulling up on it, but be warned that it's pretty difficult; at least at first. You'll want to make sure that you open it carefully, because otherwise you might accidentally jar a bunch of powder loose all over you when you do get it open.

The front lists the brand and what it is, and the back has a nice little blurb in English and French. Ingredients can be found on the bottom of the can (along with a recycling logo), and are as follows: zea mays (corn) starch, silica, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e), aloe barbadensis leaf juice, organic chamomille recutua (matricaria) flower extract, organic calendula officinalis flower extract, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, caprylyl glycol, parfum, phenoxyethanol, sorbic acid, tocobiol, iron oxides (CI77492, CI77492, CI77499).

Experience

I've never used a dry shampoo before so I jumped at the chance to get one when it came up. Never having used one before, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, and I honestly think the most use this will get is as something to help keep me dry in the summer because it seems a lot easier to apply, to me, than the other body dusts that I own that are also in a drawer and mostly get forgotten about. It did a good enough job at soaking up extra oils from my scalp, but in order to fix bedhead with my really short hair I had to wash it anyway. All in all it's a solid product.
