Great Intimate Cleansing Foam

After It is a pH-balanced cleanser that is better than soap and made with the sensitive skin of genital areas in mind. It works as a soap for a whole body use, without dryness or itchiness, and when it comes to your genitals, where it will not only clean, but soothe and promote healing.

Use

The After It is advertized for cleaning the body and genital area before or after sex and has natural ingredients. The bottle even says that 60% of ingredients are organic. With Aloe Vera as the first ingredient, it's going to be particularly recommended after any sexual activity that left you sore and sensitive.

By using the pump, you are delivered a thick foam that you can use all over the body. The foam is as thick as the one you get after rubbing a soap with water and the similar consistency will fool you.

The list of ingredients already on the product page is complete; and so, I'm not going to go over them all again. Although, note that it is free of perfumes, dyes, parabens, and glycerine and that water is not among the ingredients.
    • Bath / shower

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

As mentioned before, it feels exactly like the foam you get with soap and water, but with the dispensing pump, the foam is already ready for use. This cleanser contains oils, but does not feel oily at all, and is easily rinsed off the skin in the shower.

If you take some foam on dry hands and rub them together, it's going to feel almost like you've rubbed a drop of liquid hand soap, even though the liquid in the bottle does not seem to be particularly viscous. It is visibly more viscous than water, as bubbles will stay in suspension a while after shaking the bottle, but nowhere near as much as liquid hand soap. After shaking the bottle, it's possible to see that the liquid inside already has a bubbly tendency even before going through the foaming pump.
    • Foamy

Taste / Aroma

The scent of the foam is extremely light and smells natural. It is a mix of citrus, rosemary, and some vague scent of plants and will not stay on the skin longer than a few minutes.

This is particularly nice to know that you can take a shower and use some scented lotion or sensual products after, and that perfumes will not interfere with each other.

Performance

The After It works like any soap, but without being as harsh on the skin. The area where this product works best is for the genital area, as it leaves the skin clean with a natural feel, without dryness. For body use, it leaves the skin clean, and free of itching or flaking. However, when it comes to facial cleaning, the skin felt very slightly dry afterwards, and applying some lotion was necessary as usual.

Since the product is already foamy, it's not necessary to apply it on a scrub or a washcloth in order to apply it uniformly, which also helps in keeping the skin moisturized. It is easily washed away in the shower and does not leave any residue.

Also, one pump goes a long way - you can cover more than an arm for instance. The large bottle, which has 6 fl oz, will last for a while. The cleanser is as powerful as any soap and will easily remove any lubricant, natural, water- or silicone-based, sperm, and even deodorant.

Great review. With sensitive skin myself, I've been waiting on reviews about this before trying it. Hadn't realized aloe vera was the first ingredient and that there was no water though. Makes this stuff sound even better. Thanks.

  • keeping clean and balanced
    • I think products like this are great for promoting sexual health for women and in a way raise awareness. It is not necessarily needed for everyone and not everyone would buy a wash for before and after sex, but maybe more people would if they were aware. We are all, at least hopefully, taught about our bodies but sometimes as a woman there is more information out there and than we were provided with. With all of the wives tales like information out there and various products, it is hard to be certain the best way to keep ourselves clean and avoid infection. There are creams and sprays, pills and other things thrown at us, but those are usually after the fact solutions and don't always work or cause more discomfort in some way. I know this is not the most pleasant topic, but staying healthy will make things more pleasant. Some women do not have issues with their pH or infections, but some do so I am just encouraging anyone to share or provide any helpful information and products that actually work and have been tested by other women, so that there is a source of information if one is looking for it.
    • I agree with you, this is an important topic. I like the fact that they offer washes in the grocery and big box stores. This way, if women feel uncomfortable ordering from a website like this, they have the option of purchasing it with other items in their basket.

      I'm more likely to be embarrassed to get it in store. There is one grocery store in a 25 mile radius here, and I happen to work at it. I bought lube there once and still haven't heard the end of it! LOL!
