Neither Yay Or Nay

V Hybrid Lubricant is a nice refreshing lube that lasts for a good while and stays where you put it. It doesn't run or get sticky, but it does have glycerin so beware if you have an allergy. The lube is promoted to be dermatologically tested, and I am not sure what audience they are trying to target with that. Either way, I am impartial and I don't particularly care for or against it.

Use

This Hybrid Gel lube will work well for use with a variety of toys, provided they aren't silicone. I would say this is safe for anal because it is quite thick and lasts a good long while with a small application.

This lube is not a good candidate for oral use because it tastes horrible!

This is a good starter lube if you are curious about silicone. It is a good hybrid lube that gives you the ease of water based lubes and the performance of silicone based lubes.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

At first use, this lube is smooth and silky. It rubs on nicely and feels soft on your skin. It thins out a bit as you use it but it seems to stay in place well. It also feels quite natural.

A dime sized amount will last you a good 30 mins or so at least, so don't fret when you see the small bottle. As long as you use it right it will last you forever!

This does wash off with soap and water, so I assume it isn't a good candidate for shower play. I was not able to test this out myself yet. If left onto your skin it will absorb nicely and make you feel silky smooth.

Taste / Aroma

V has no scent at first, but on skin it has a strange--almost metallic--smell. It has a light taste similar to that of a mild hairspray, so I would avoid using it for oral.

Performance

I am scared to use this with my silicone toys so I tested it out on my Pirate's Katsuni vibe which is made of hard plastic. Everything went smoothly (literally) and the vibe glided across my skin with ease. The lube did not dry up or get sticky and washed off easily with some soap and water.

The dime sized amount I used lasted me for my whole 30 minute session and I did not need to re apply. This is good because sometimes I have a hard time staying wet, even when I am aroused.

The ingredients to V are as follows: "Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcelluslose(Scary sounding),Sodium Polyacrylate, Dimethicone and PEG/PPG-18 Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Linocera Caprifolium and Linocera Japonica Extracts (Honeysuckle)"

Now I have no idea what half of these are but I do know by now that Dimethicone is a form of Silicone which is where the hybrid aspect comes in. I also know that glycerin is an allergy concern for some so that is something to be careful of.

The bottle does list this as hypoallergenic, paraben free and dermatologically formulated.

Packaging

This lube came with a large magazine type booklet. At first I thought it was care information and instructions, or maybe other products, but it seems to be a promotional feature. It is only 3 pages or so and reminds me of an ad from a magazine. On the pages the company basically discusses how the formula was made from a dermatologist and a scientist or something like that. I can't find it at the moment or I would take a closer look!

I wasn't really phased by the thing, honestly I thought it was a tad too much. It might help reassure some who are more serious about how their lube is made or where it comes from.

I received a 5 oz bottle which is perfect for travel! It is the size of the silky hand cream bottles from Bath and Body Works.

The bottle is a flip top so it stays clean and is easy to use. It has a nice tight seal and won't leak or spill during shipping.

In the rare event that it would leak, Eden is generous enough to ship it in one of those nice ziplocs to prevent damage from any other items that may be shipped with it!

Experience

The few times I was able to use this lube so far have been good. It didn't amaze or disappoint me, but shortly after use I ran into personal problems which call for no penetration for a while. I plan on writing a follow up with further experiences after I am able to use it more!

Thanks for the review. BTW, Cyclopentasiloxane is just another form of silicone.

Honeysuckle is very good for the skin

This looks like a very great product, and since I have no sensitivity to Glycerin, it sounds quite good!

Thanks for sharing! I'm really sensitive to chemicals down there so I don't think this will work for me.
