Hear me roar cami and boyshort - camisole set discontinued by Seven 'til Midnight - review by Kitka

What is it?:

The Hear Me Roar cami and boyshort set by Seven 'til Midnight is a two piece leopard print lingerie set that consists of a lace trimmed halter style camisole and a boyshort with a black waistband and black stitching around the leg openings.

This set only comes in leopard print but is available in One Size Fits Most and Plus Size.

The set is meant to be worn in the bedroom for your partner or to just feel sexy for yourself, but you could wear it under clothing if you really wanted to. Just keep in mind that although it has a pattern, the set is very see through.

Material: 92% Polyester, 8% Spandex, exclusive of trim

Polyester is a material that has low absorbency. It is combustible but due to its thermoplastic nature, it tends to shrink away from the flame source and often self-extinguishes. Just be careful around open flames while wearing this set and things should be fine.

Spandex is very strong and durable material; it is able to be stretched repetitively and still recover original length. It is resistant to body oils, perspiration, lotions, and detergents with no static or pilling problems.

The cami and boyshort are both very smooth and comfortable feeling. The material of each is very much a small holed mesh and quite stretchy. There is only that new clothing smell to the set but it will dissipate with washing.

Design: All measurements are taken with the garments laid flat

The Camisole~ It is shaped like a typical tubular cami with unlined cups and seams running down each side. There is a black shiny bow at the middle of the bust and lace trim running along the edge of the bust and across the bottom of the cami. There are two long ties coming off each "cup" triangle that tie around the neck halter style and hold the top up. Also, there are two pink tags sewn into the back top seam that list size, washing instructions, materials, style number and the Seven 'til Midnight logo.

Measurements are as follows:
-Across the bottom~ 15" wide, will stretch 5" more
-From bottom up to armpit~ 13"
-From armpit to middle bust~ 7 1/2", will stretch 3 1/2" more
-Black bow~ 2" wide by 3" tall
-Tie Strand~ 20", will stretch 20" more



The Boyshort~ It is the usual boyshort shape with a front and back panel of material sewn together at the hips and crotch. This has a thick black elastic waistband and black stitching on the edges of the leg openings. There is a considerable sized liner sewn on the inside of the boyshort and these also have two pink tags sewn into the waistband seam that list size, washing instructions, materials, style number and the Seven 'til Midnight logo.

Measurements are as follows:
-Waistband, hip to hip~ 12 1/2", will stretch 7 1/2" more
-Waistband to leg opening~ 3 1/2"
-Waistband to bottom of crotch~ Just over 7 1/2"
-Back waistband to bottom seam~ Just over 7 1/2"
-Liner~ 4" long by 3" wide



There were no loose threads, pulls or runs in the material or poorly sewn seams. The construction of this set is one of quality and is surprising coming from this company.

The cami and boyshort set fit very nicely on me but the boyshort was a bit tight. Not from the sizing it would seem but more from how the material was sewn together. It kind of tries to pull downward in the front right where my thighs and crotch meet. Other than that this set is very cute and comfortable.

Storing, Care and Packaging:

To store the set just toss it in your lingerie drawer, on a shelf or hang it up in a closet. You can also put this set inside a lingerie envelope before storing to keep it looking nice.

Hand wash the set in cold water and line dry. Do NOT bleach or iron.

The Hear Me Roar cami and boyshort came packaged in a small paperboard box with a model on the front wearing the set. Also on the front is the size, style number, color and what is contained inside (although it states, "Cami and thong" which is not accurate). The back of the packaging shows the back of the model wearing the set and lists out the same information you can find on the front (again with the inaccurate "thong" statement).

The top is super cute and fits great but the bottoms are still a little wonky fit-wise. I really like this set even though the boyshort doesn't exactly fit right.
