Rabbit vibrator by California Exotic
I went to my mailbox in my college’s campus center and was thrilled to see that I had a package notice. I took the slip to the post office counter, and the postman pulled a box off the shelf. He shook it a little, gave me an inquisitive look, and asked “new shoes?” I just winked, smiled, took my box, and hurried back to my dorm room.
I eagerly tore off the outer box and pulled out my new toy. Frankly, the toy’s container was awfully graphic. It featured a large photo of Devinn Lane, and it was honestly a bit lewd. Not exactly a communal trashcan friendly piece of packaging. I don’t like my hallmates to know how I spend my free time, so it took a bit of creativity to dispose of the box.
The first thing that I noticed about the pearl dolphin vibe was a funky, rubbery smell. I washed it with soap and water, and it got a little better. I loaded in batteries and turned it on. The vibrator has a very nice theoretical design. The shaft part is controlled by a lever in the base with five speed settings. It features pearls in the shaft’s base that circle around to stimulate the most sensitive part of the vagina. The head, made of solid jelly and anatomically cock-like, rotates deeper in the vagina. The dolphin clit stimulator is also controlled by a five speed lever.
After examining its features, I turned it on full blast and went out into my hall, closing my door behind me. I could clearly hear it outside of my room, which is pretty soundproof. After a little experimenting, I discovered that using only the clit stimulator on its lowest setting gives a pretty quiet experience, but even muffling the vibe with blankets doesn’t yield much sound privacy. It is too loud for me and definitely not a discrete toy for those of you who are in communal living situations. After experimenting a little, I lubed up and gave that baby a go.
This vibrator just didn’t fit my body very well. I have a shallow vagina, so the pearl part didn’t hit me, even when I stuck a pillow under my hips to get deeper access. When I inserted it all the way, the dolphin did not hit my clit. The jelly was too flexible and did not give me the stiff satisfaction I crave.
I decided to pull the shaft out and use the dolphin on my clit. I have a sensitive clitoris, and even the lowest speed setting was way too much stimulation. I decided to give it another shot the next day.
Armed with determination, a high sex drive, and my favorite bottle of lube, I turned on some music, locked my dorm room door, and settled in for some fun. After about fifteen awkward and frustrating minutes of trying to get the damn thing into my vagina, I finally gave up in exasperation. I pulled out my favorite vibrator, and gave myself one of the best g-spot orgasms I’ve had in a while.
Several weeks after receiving and reviewing Devinn Lane's pearl dolphin, my verdict is still the same: I really don't like this toy. I hold true to my original review.
Only now, a new issue has arisen. This toy is really hard to clean! The fact that it's made of jelly makes it hard enough, but there is texture in the surface of the shaft, and dust particles and god only knows what else get caught in the little rivets and will not come out, no matter how many times I wash the thing.
I still do not recommend it at all.
