Did you feel that? Because I did not!All in all I was very disappointed in this toy. It had just little power in one little location that all it did was frustrate me. And the fact that all of the textures are on the sleeve is somewhat disappointing considering that once it is removed there goes all the texture and good luck replacing it!
Could not honestly find one thing I liked about this toy.
Very low power, sleeve will not go back on, too thin.
In my honest opinion the Slim Softee vibe would be best used as a paper weight. Upon receiving this toy in the mail I noticed it's very slim design and wondered to myself how much power could something so small hold? Well, sadly I was not wrong in my thinking. As for stimulation there was none! After removing the vibe from it's packaging I quickly found two AAA batteries and turned the dial for power. I was shocked to find that this "multi-speed" vibrator only had one speed. I had to turn the dial all the way until I felt the very low, very soft vibrations coming from the very tip. Thinking that perhaps the removable TPR sleeve that covers the hard plastic was muffling the vibrations I slid the sleeve off only to find that was not the case. What I did discover, however, was that once the jelly sleeve was removed it was virtually impossible to put it back on. This toy MAY work well for a beginner but even then I feel it simply does not have enough power.
The slim Softee has two different materials. The TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) sleeve that comes over the plastic "shaft". But as I said above once the sleeve is removed it seemed impossible to put it back on. The sleeve does have a ribbed tip for G-spot stimulation which I did not get to experience due to my removing it. Under the sleeve is just a plastic shaft with no ribs, grooves, or textures.
The Slim Softee is 6 1/2" in length with 5 1/2" of it being insertable. The one thing I noticed most was that the circumference is only 3 1/2" which, in my opinion, leaves much to be desired. One pro of the slim, sleek design is that it allows the Slim Softee to be very discreet. Because of it's ultra slim design I would think a beginner may have better luck with this than a more advanced user.
The package of the Slim Softee said that it was a multi speed vibe but after I inserted the batteries and turned the dial at the base I found that this vibe only has one speed and that is painfully slow!! The little vibration that was happening occurred at the very tip and had such little power that there was no way it was going to get the job done! After playing with it a bit I gave up and contemplated using it as a dildo but it's slim, sleek design would only frustrate me more. I did later for the sake of writing this review hold it under water while turning it on and off. It held up well and continued to hum that low, sad hum.
The sleeve which is TPR is less porous than cyberskin but more porous than silicone and it would be wise to use a condom if sharing. The TPR sleeve cannot be disinfected with boiling water. You can wash it with mild soap and warm water or toy cleaner. Silicone and water-based lubricant are best for TPR. The plastic shaft can easily be cleaned with antibacterial soap and hot water or by wiping down with isopropyl alcohol. Waterbased, oil, and silicone lubricant work well with the plastic.
Follow-up commentary 3 months after original review
Though I have tried using this vibe several times after I wrote this review, I still cannot find much I like about it. I did manage to get the sleeve back on it at one point but found that with it, the vibration is subpar. There are so many other great choices out there that I do not recommend anyone wasting their time or money with it.
