iVibe, iRide, iCum

This is a great vibe for beginners, even if it is not perfect. The vibrations are strong and the suction cup attaches to virtually any flat surface. For the price, it is definitely worth it, though be ready to play around with it a bit to get the positioning right.

Pros:
Great beginner rabbit, hands-free play.
Cons:
Only 3 speeds, requires some adjusting.

Use

This was my first rabbit vibe and was a good place to start. It's not too expensive, and it has the oh so wonderful benefit of being hands-free. The iVibe suction cup rabbit has a fairly detailed shaft for vaginal insertion and a not-so-detailed "rabbit" attachment for clitoral stimulation. This is not a discreet toy and not something for on-the-go play, so it's something that you'll want to save for solo play time or for teasing your partner by putting on a show.. Since it has a suction cup, it can be used on any flat surface. I also found that it is compatible with my harness for a different way to play.

It's suitable for beginners or those who are simply new to rabbit vibrators. The shaft is nicely tapered so it slides in easily and isn't too overwhelming in size. Those who are not new to rabbit vibrators may want to look at a different model, as there are only 3 settings on this toy, so there isn't much variety. However, those settings are powerful enough to get the job done for rabbit newbies.

Material / Texture

The iVibe suction cup rabbit is made of Jelly. Unfortunately, this means it has a strong smell upon opening it... definitely a drawback if you are sensitive to scents. The material is soft and flexible, with enough give to fit different body types and to reach those special spots. However, only the top portion of the vibrator is flexible and it becomes very stiff once you reach the beaded part. Jelly has a slight sticky feeling to it, but the veins provide a nice texture to the otherwise smooth material.

I was surprised at the decent amount of detail on this toy since it's otherwise not exactly realistic. The shape of the head and ridges make for nice, albeit very gentle, g-spot stimulation. Even though I am not generally a fan of a lot of texture, I did not find this at all overwhelming or painful, probably because the jelly material is so soft. Thus, this is a good toy for someone who is new to texture.
    • Porous
    • Sticky
    • Strong odor

Design / Shape / Size

The vibe has 5 1/2 inches of insertable length and a circumference of 4 3/4" at its widest point. Although this is actually one of my thicker toys, I did not find it at all difficult to insert. The size of this toy keeps it in the beginner range, though anyone who prefers their toys to be thinner will appreciate it. Definitely not the toy for all you size queens out there.

The shaft of the toy is fairly realistic with a lovely tapered head and body and thick ridges. It's designed for easy insertion while still giving maximum pleasure, and for the most part it does. However... I was a little disappointed by the fact that the rabbit portion of the vibe didn't hit my clit without adjustment. Though this is a minor problem, it still ruined the hands-free appeal for me just a bit.

This is not at all a discreet toy! Not something you want to take to the office with you, and not the easiest toy to hide. While it isn't so big that it can't be packed away in a suitcase for vacation-time fun, it's still not the most convenient for travel.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This vibe is uses a wired control pack that is extremely simple to use; just slide it from off to low, medium, or high. This controls both the rotating pearls and the bullet in the rabbit. The settings are very distinct, ranging from just a little tickle to a lot of fun. It takes quite a bit of vibration to get me going, and I found the highest speed on this toy to be more than satisfactory. The suction cup is great; I was able to stick it to a wall and pull as hard as I could and the thing didn't even budge!

The iVibe suction cup rabbit is quiet on its lowest setting, but fairly audible on the highest. Nothing too bad, though, and I was still able to get away with using it even though I live in a dorm setting.
    • Easy to use
    • Not discreet at all
    • Not enough variety

Care and Maintenance

Ah, jelly. It feels great, but it isn't the safest material out there in sexy toy land. Since jelly cannot be fully sanitized, this is not a toy you want to share without a condom. I personally use a condom every time, just for the sake of keeping it clean.

To clean the toy, use warm water and a mild soap or (preferably) a toy cleaner. It isn't terribly difficult to clean, though you'll want to make sure you hit every nook and cranny because of the ridges. It should be noted that jelly is supposed to be stored in a cool, dark place. I keep mine under my bed, though a drawer would work just as well. Also, only used water-based or silicone-based lubes with this vibe.

Packaging

The packaging is simple: just a plastic box with another plastic bit to keep the vibe in place. It is not at all discreet! Not only is the box see-through, it also displays the name of the toy in big letters. However, it is reusable and I use my box as storage.
    • Good for storage
    • Not discreet

Experience

I couldn't wait to try this toy out when I got home. I ran straight to my room, locked the door, and pulled this baby out of its box. Once it was cleaned up and the batteries were in place, I stuck it to the oh so convenient ledge in my room and lowered myself onto it. It felt absolutely lovely going in. I had to wiggle around on it a bit and adjust the rabbit several times until I got it right where I wanted it. Unfortunately, I couldn't really feel the beads at all--to me they were just extra noise. But I was pleasantly surprised at how fast I was able to get off with this toy thanks to the strong (if not well-placed) clit vibe! It's not perfect, but it was a nice experience.
Follow-up commentary
This toy was actually my first rabbit vibe.

Boy, do I know better now. It still smells, I've found I really don't like the pearls, and I get so frustrated because I have to hold the rabbit in place. While I was so excited at the prospect of a rabbit the first few times I used it, now I rather just use two separate toys than deal with this thing. Plus, the material is very cheap and it feels like it's going to break every time I use it, and the back of the battery pack never stays on. Maybe I just don't have the patience required for this toy... but I'd rather continue my search for the perfect rabbit then settle for this.

How well did the suction cup work? Did it stay stuck to whatever surface you put it on, or are some surfaces better than others? Good review!

The suction cup seems to stick to any flat surface I put it on: floor, wall, chair I'm in the process of editing the video now, but I'm including a brief demonstration of the suction cup function that you'll be able to see soon!

I'm surprised there is not more functions on this toy. That's a shame, but at least it's strong. Oh and cute title.

The design of this is interesting - I think it's the first rabbit I've seen without separate controls for the shaft and clitoral piece.
Nice review!

Did the clit stim part work for you? I know there are better models out there with more variety and gusto for the price. Good review!

@ Kynky Kitty: Thanks! I was a little disappointed by the lack of functions as well, but it's not a bad place to start.

@Sammi: I know of a few others that don't have separate controls, but yes, most do nowadays.

@Newme21: Thanks!

@Liz2: It did, but I had to constantly adjust it to actually get it to hit my clit.

  • First rabbit vibrator
    • I'm in the market for my first rabbit vibrator and there are so many to choose from! Any advice on what you like best? I'm looking for one that is quieter because of housemates and on the inexpensive end.

Check these out - good safe materials (Jelly is not sterilizable, is porous, and tends to degrade over time, so I'd avoid it. Click the link I'd pick a couple that you get a good feeling about the looks/think will fit your body, and read their reviews to decide. You can also do a comparison of your top choices :)
