I have a fetish for sex toys made of unusual materials. Glass, metal, granite, ceramic, marble... I love them. So once I found a vibrator made of leather|Leather lover - Vibrator by Topco, I knew I had to have it.

But let's get technical. The vibrator itself isn't made of leather. It's made of very sensible plastic and takes the shape of a very sensible torpedo. All by itself it puts off quite powerful vibrations, and if you so chose, you'd be very happy to use it all by itself.

But -- but! -- encase it in a leather sleeve and you've got something truly unique. When the kit first arrived, I had some trouble seating the vibe all the way into the leather sleeve. Eventually I got the hang of holding onto the rounded base while pushing hard on the vibrator. This allows you to push the vibe completely into the sleeve; when it's fully in, a small flap on the sleeve's base covers up the bottom of the vibe.

Getting the vibe back out again is not hard at all. Just squeeze the tip of the sleeve until the vibe slides down enough for you to grab the base. Simple simple.

You will want to adjust the speed of the vibe before you seat it all the way into the sleeve. Once in, it's hard if not impossible to make any changes. This is good if you're happy with the speed you've chosen. Personally? I suggest that you start with the highest speed.

The wide base on the Leather Lover means that it can be used in an O-ring harness or (if you choose) in the bottom. I'd definitely suggest a condom on the toy if you use it anally, and a condom wouldn't be a bad idea for vaginal use as well. Leather can be cleaned (but not sterilized) with a damp cloth and a bit of soap, but you'll probably be happiest if the sleeve keeps it leather smell instead of picking up the scent of pussy.

    Yes definitely cover for insertion- leather is one of the more porous materials out there.

    Leather's really going to pick up whatever liquids touch it unless it is very well treated, and then it makes me wonder what it would be leaving behind if it was that well treated and was used uncovered for insertion. I guess the texture is what it's all about, and if you can just buy leather sleeves that don't cost too much... Great review, AAG.

    Hm interesting, but I dunno if i'd purchase this product. I love leather as a fashion accessory, but i don't see the sense in using it as a pleasure toy if you have to use a condom, it just deceits the purpose of using the toy for personal use. Oh well, glad you enjoyed it!
