Misleading . . .

Overall, the shape—which is that of a lipstick—was the only reason I was attracted to the product, but it was such a disappointment as were the weak vibrations. I wish it had been better.

Use

With the "fake" cosmetic case being exactly 5 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide, I highly doubt anyone would believe this was a real lipstick or cosmetic case as the packaging claims it to be. Once the lid comes off, you are greeted by a black marble vibe hidden inside with half of it sticking out to look like a lipstick. The vibrator is about 4 inches long and 3 1/2 inches in circumference. When the battery went inside the twist-and-screw compartment, I was even more disappointed with how weak the vibrations were! I had to turn the dial up to the max, yet I could still barely pick up any vibrations coming from the vibrator.

Material / Texture

Hide-A-Vibe is made out of smooth food-grade plastic. It contains no phthalates or latex, and it is also hypoallergenic. There is no odor to this toy, unlike some plastic vibrators that I own. You can easily clean the vibrator with antibacterial soap and water.

Design / Shape / Size

I'm not a fan of this design. For a discreet toy, the size of the actual toy isn't very discreet at all. Nobody is going to believe this is an ordinary lipstick. I was so surprised by the size that I had to go and measure the product myself. I found that the outside casing is 5 inches in length and 3 inches in width, with the vibrator inside being about 4 inches in length and 3 1/2 inches in circumference. It is not discreet at all!

After experiencing the disappointment of the size of the toy, I was clinging to hope that the vibrations would make up for what was lacking in discreetness. Sadly, I was mistaken. I turned the dial slowly—nothing. I turn it up some more—nothing. Not until I reached the max point did I feel even the slightest, weakest vibrations I have ever felt. I thought the toy had been damaged in the mail before reaching that point! I thought it was just the battery, so I changed it. Then again. And again. Nothing changed the weak vibrations.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is very easy to care for. Since it is made out of smooth plastic, all you really need to do is wipe it down with antibacterial soap and some warm water. You can also use toy cleaner on the material.

This toy has been sitting in storage ever since the first time I tried it. It stills has little to no vibration and it is not something that is "discreet" at all.
