Petite couture enchanted - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Carrie Ann

I think by now everyone knows I have a weakness for California Exotics' Couture Collection. Petite or full sized, they really appeal to me.

The Enchanted is made from 100% silicone that is somewhere in between a matte finish and a smooth finish. (Like the difference between paints; flat, satin and semi gloss. This would be the satin) It's extremely squishy and plush and may actually be too soft for some users. When silicone is this soft the vibrations tend to feel very deep, like they're coming from deep inside the toy. They thrum, rather than buzz. Those who prefer high, buzzy, very strong vibrations likely won't feel the Enchanted -- or any of the Couture Collection pieces, really -- is enough. If you like that deep, throbbing vibration and a squishy yet firm toy, though, this one is full of win.

The Petite Couture collection is a smaller sized (though only in comparison to the full sized as these are not tiny toys by any means) and more affordably priced alternative to the full sized Couture Collection pieces. They retail at about half the price of the full sized and run on 2 AAA batteries instead of 2 AA's. That being said, they still pack a pretty good punch and are definitely strong enough to get me off, they're just not a powerhouse of a toy.

The Enchanted measures in at 7 inches long (4.75 insertable) with a diameter of 1.25 inches. It's lavender in color with a ball shaped head and slouchy looking ridges and dips throughout the length of the shaft. Batteries slide very easily into a screw off compartment in the typical one up, one down configuration. The controls are push buttons that are back-lit in red when on. A single press to the dedicated on off button turns the toy on or off and sets the red light to glowing. A press to the function button starts it humming on a low, steady vibration. Successive presses give you medium and high stead vibration as well as an escalating pattern, a medium pulsation, a fast pulsation and a moderate pulsation that ends in a long hum. Patterns are accompanied by the backlight flashing behind the buttons. Continuing to press the button cycles you thru repeatedly until you press the on/off button. Vibrations are deep and quiet and what I'd call moderate in intensity.

Because it's silicone, please use only water based lube unless you do a patch test in an inconspicuous spot because not all silicone toys are compatible with silicone lubes. Also, feel free to share it because silicone can be sanitized. Clean up with soap and water or wipes before and after use (it picks up lint), boil or bleach if you want to sanitize for sharing.

I wouldn't recommend this one for anal use as it doesn't have a flared base but it's very nice for clitoral stimulation and excellent for internal vaginal stimulation.

The ball shaped head and the ridges in the shaft feel excellent with thrusting and the plush texture allows the toy to flex for g-spot stimulation. The control buttons do sometimes get accidentally pressed when thrusting, however, so you may have to modify the way you grip the toy.

Packaging is a simple, though overly large for the toy, white cardboard box with a picture of the toy, a stream of water and text describing it's attributes, including the fact that it is waterproof.

Of all my Petite Coutures, I think the Enchanted is my favorite. I like the bubbly, squishy head and the deep, thrummy vibrations. They aren't the strongest but they feel, like baby bear's porridge, just right to me.

I thought it worth mentioning that my couture pieces are holding up exceptionally well to use, washing and banging around. I've yet to have one marred by the abuse I put them thru. Also, I store them along with all my silicone toys in a wooden chest without bags of any kind to keep them separate and they have not had a reaction to any other silicones -- so the quality is obviously quite good. :)
