Pure Bendie: Doesn't Bend It Like Beckham
If you enjoy realistic feeling toys and a strong vibration, this toy offers both in one girthy package. If, however, you lean towards less realistic looking and feeling toys, I'd take a pass on this one.Published: June 23, 2010
Pros:
That this toy remembers the last vibration setting you were using. Score!
Cons:
Hard to keep clean, easy to turn off accidentally.
The Pure Bendie 10 Function Vibrator certainly impressed me with its girth when I pulled it from its packaging and spent quite a bit of time feeling and kneading the Pure Skin material.
The packaging states that Pure Skin, "Feels like the Real Thing and is Maintenance free". Um, I disagree. I found even after I washed and dried the vibrator off I found that the toy felt a little tacky and attracted every piece of lint and dust within a 100 mile radius! I also found that the chemical smell remains even after a few weeks out of its box. Because Pure Skin is such a porous material, if you plan on sharing this toy, you must use a condom as it cannot be sterilized. Simple soap and water or toy cleaner can get the job done. If you are going to use lubricant (and trust me, you'll need it!) water-based lube is recommended.
I wish I could say that I loved this toy - I wanted to love it but I don't.
I found the plastic handle awkward to hold and I often managed to turn the toy off while I was playing with it.
Keeping this toy straight, as one would with a regular vibrator, I found it a little uncomfortable to thrust as vigorously as I normally enjoy. This was where I found both the girth and the Pure Skin material to be a disadvantage. It actually became so unbearable, even with copious amounts of warm-up and lube, that I stop thrusting altogether. So instead I cycled through the various vibration settings and settled on the strongest, constant setting. While the vibration was strong, it was unable to get me off - even when I angled the head of the toy against my g-spot.
When I bent the shaft, to an almost 90 degree angle, I was able to get much better g-spot stimulation, but again, no orgasm.
Eventually, I had to just lay the head of the vibrator against my clit and after a really long time on the highest setting, I finally came.
I played with this toy a few times and the result was always disappointing. I hadn't realized until I played with this toy that soft textured toys aren't for me. The vibrations don't transmit properly or they aren't hard enough for the kind of pressure my g-spot needs to orgasm.
Sadly, I think I may end up using this kind of like a stress ball - holding it and squeezing it to calm my nerves.

@ToriRebel: Thanks - they don't work for everyone

as a stress ball! hehe, I was thinking a different type of stress relief. I have been wanting to try a toy made of pure skin. I wonder if I'll find I don't like the material.
