This toy is great, no matter if you are using it by yourself or with a partner, and no matter if you're male or female. Admittedly, I'm only getting the female perspective at the moment since I haven't used it with a partner yet, but I fully believe that it would work well with whomever. And the best part is you can use it virtually wherever you want. To top it off, it's waterproof, which certainly makes bath time a lot more fun.

I would definitely recommend this for anyone, whether you are a beginner or not.

When I first opened the package there was a slight plastic smell, but once I washed it, the plastic smell went away. My first impression of the material was that it was very squishy, but still plenty firm enough for what it was to be used for. It feels very realistic, even with the extra ridges on the shaft. Those ridges are perfect for extra stimulation without having an unnatural feel to them. All in all, it's surprisingly lifelike in texture and feel once it's where it needs to be.

The shape is pretty lifelike, besides the fact that there are extra ridges along the shaft. The size is perfect, too. I still consider myself a beginner with these kinds of toys, and the size combined with the sqishiness of the material was very comfortable, but still noticeable to be fun. It's small enough to hide in a drawer or perhaps a toiletries travel case, and with a very easy to remove battery pack, there's no chance of it turning on and causing an embarrassing buzzing in your bag.

That's another part that I appreciate: the battery pack. It's not necessarily something you would think of, but the base unscrews, and a case that holds three aaa batteries slides out. You never have to worry about losing a battery or putting them in the wrong way (I know, it seems like common sense, but I'm sure these things do happen). It also makes it easy when you take the batteries out between uses.

First and foremost, one of the main attractive features of this toy is the fact that it bends in the middle. That gives you a lot of control over exactly where it's hitting, which is exactly where you want it. Then you add the vibrations. There are 10 of them; the first three are just straight vibrations in high, medium, and low. Then it has a series of different pulses and intensities for the other seven. I've already found my favorites, and given the variety, I'm sure that most people could find something they like. I really like that once you find one that you like, you can "save" it so that it starts up with that one next time you turn it on.

There are two buttons at the base, one raised and one not. The raised one cycles through the different vibrations. The second one is the one you want to remember. It's indented to make it easy to locate when you can't actually see the buttons. If you press that button, it will turn the vibrations off, but it will remember which one you were on, and if you press it again it will go right back on to the same one. If you turn it on by pressing the raised button, though, it will go to the next one in the sequence.

Some people might think that three AAA batteries won't give the toy any good strength, and while that might be true for some people, I think that three small batteries actually pack a good bunch of energy.
The main issue that I have, and I know that others have this too, is that you need to be aware of how you're holding it. If you are gripping the toy with your palm around the base, you might accidentally push one of the buttons when you don't mean to. To get around that, I just grabbed the squishy base instead of the vibration base, and that eliminated the problem.

This is actually very easy to clean. You can either use a toy cleaner or water and mild soap to clean it, and since it's mostly non-porous, it cleans up very quickly. It is suggested that you take the batteries out when you aren't using it, and that will help to prevent corrosion as well as extend the battery life. I store mine in a little box in a drawer, and that's pretty much all you need.

One thing that you might not consider that's worth considering is that the material holds on to things like hair, especially pet hair. Make sure to at least rinse it off before you use it if you have pets, so that you don't get fur in uncomfortable places.
