Scintillating sunflower sex toy review

Strap-on vibrator by California Exotic

by Technolust Geek

useful review
All in all, it was a little fussy with adjustments of any kind, and the vibrations were midrange. It was still a nice change from the usual bullet!
AA batteries; soft to touch; flexible material; well suited for stimulation during penetration.
Vibrations not the strongest; needs to be little more adjustable; not ergonomically perfect.

The Scintillating Sunflower strap-on vibrator by California Exotic is a clitoral stimulator that is meant to stay in place during intercourse. It sounded like an interesting proposition to my girlfriend. We would normally use your standard, everyday, friendly, neighborhood bullet for this type of stimulation. The not-so-magic-bullet only works hands free in a few sexual positions, but still provides a nice stimulation nevertheless.

Enter the Sunflower: it comes in a very predictable box with a platinum blonde porn star on the front. Ignoring the mundane exterior, I dove into the box. I was pleased to see AA battery slots in the five speed control base. Warning technical data ahead: AA batteries have almost 2.5 times the total electrical power in milliamp hour and are much easier to find in rechargeable types.

My girlfriend slipped it on with the Sunflower design facing inward but found that it didn’t provide enough stimulation due to lack of contact with her clitoris. She then took it off and turned it around, but not before the elastic straps decided to snap painfully against her while she was undoing and readjusting. She now had the stem part firmly against her clitoris, the flower facing out, with the vibration all the way up.

The vibrations weren’t the most powerful of the toys we’ve experienced together, but they were passable. As for comfort, she wasn’t exactly cozy in the thin straps, and the narrower, stem part pinched her when she moved.

When we started to make love in missionary position, the pinching began to hurt instead of cause mild discomfort. We then tried doggie-style to see if the vibrator would work better in a position that didn’t require extra force on it. It worked better, but there was minor slipping.

All in all, it was a little fussy with adjustments of any kind, but it was still a nice change from the usual bullet.
