Superstar vibes - traditional vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by SugarAndSpice

Superstar vibes is a great traditional vibrator. You can use it for clitoral stimulation or insertion, but in my opinion it is best for the clit. It is great for solo or couples play, and is waterproof so it can be used in the bath/shower. This is perfect for those times that you don't want all the bells and whistles, but want just an easy to use toy with strong vibration to push you over the edge.

This vibrator is made of hard, ribbed plastic. It is easy to clean and store without having to worry about lint sticking to it. It does not have an odor or taste that I noticed. The ribbing can give you extra stimulation if used for insertion.

This is a great vibrator for beginners, and a classic that advanced users may enjoy as well. It is on the small side for inserting, but if used that way, the ribbing can add a little "oomph." One feature I enjoyed was the slightly pointed tip, so I could focus intense vibrations directly onto my clit. It is operated through a dial on the bottom, which I will cover more in a bit.

I purchased this in orange, but it is also available in blue, pink and fuchsia. That being said, they are brightly colored, so it isn't exactly discreet if left in open view. I would say it is pretty travel friendly, but remove the batteries first since it does turn on very easily.

This vibrator is controlled by the dial located at the base, with two speeds. I did find the dial irksome because it has a habit of turning itself on or off, which, depending on the situation, may not be ideal. It was easiest to just put it on the highest speed as to not risk it turning off in the heat of the moment.

I found this toy to be a bit noisy. Not something that someone in another room will hear, but I wouldn't recommend it for those who share, say, a dormroom. I used it while my partner was asleep once and I had to use a pillow to muffle the buzz as to not disturb him.

The Superstar vibe is waterproof. I tested it out buy putting it in the tub and it still worked great.

This toy is easy to clean with soap and water or a bit of rubbing alcohol. Since it is made of plastic, it is safe to store with other plastic toys and you don't have to worry about lint getting stuck on it unlike some materials. I've only used this with water-based lubes, but you can also use silicone or oil based lubes with it if that is what you prefer.
