The Purple People Eater
The Swirl Daisy (aka The Purple People Eater) is a good, all-round vibrator. It offers unique stimulation from a unique design of daisy studs and swirl pattern. Since it is "girthy" and a little noisy, we feel there are better ones out there.

The Swirl Daisy is a solid, traditional vibrator and clitoral stimulator. It can be used solo or with a partner, in bed, on the couch or - wherever your heart desires. Since it's waterproof, it can be taken for a swim in the tub, or for some action in the shower! The varying speeds, swirl on the shaft and raised daisies are a bonus for stimulation.
It's a flexible, semi-firm, silicone/jelly-like material with a swirl and studded daisy patterns on the shaft. This provides a different and unique type of stimulation that traditional smooth vibrator or realistic penis styles can't offer.
The Swirl Daisy measures approx. 8" long and 1 3/4" in diameter. Compared to a Lelo Liv, or other sleeker vibrators, it's quite "girthy". This may be a little too much, or uncomfortable, for some women.
The speed control setting is a disc that is somewhat awkward to manage - especially with slippery hands, in the shower, or in certain positions. Regardless, it is very easy to use. It can travel in an overnight bag or suitcase (but not discreet for a purse).
The speed settings go from slow and steady to WOW! As mentioned earlier, the control is very easy to use, but can be awkward at times depending on the position. I've had the pleasure to use the Swirl Daisy solo and at the hand of my husband -- either way, it definitely delivers on power -- in bed, on the couch and in the shower.
There are two minor downsides to the product:
1. As the speed/power increases, so does the volume. We would definitely not recommend it for places where you're trying to be discreet! If you don't have this problem, then turn it up!
2. Be very careful not to over-tighten the cap! The cap (which contains the speed dial) can strip very easily. We (unfortunately) overtightened ours, and the damage is not reversible. Now we often find the batteries won't provide consistent power - if any at all. This could have been better designed - especially since it's a waterproof toy!
I don't know of anything better than sex toys that clean up with warm, soapy water. I do not use toy cleaners, but imagine they would work well.
The packaging is unfortunately not that great. It's a plastic box that, when opened, cannot be re-used. This is unfortunate, as a lot of other companies allow you to use the packaging as a storage box. It also does not come with a bag or storage sleeve like some other brands do. Despite it's shortfalls, the packaging is recyclable.
My husband and I affectionately refer to the Swirl Daisy as the Purple People Eater. We have used it a couple of times as a traditional vibrator, but end up using it more as a clitoral stimulator. The swirl and daisy "nubs" provide a unique sensation when applied directly on the skin surrounding the clitoris and labia -- a sensation that's enhanced when placed on top of silky underwear.
Follow-up commentary
I don't like it anymore

The controls broke, and the unit died after less than a year of use! How irritating! Combine that with the extra girth, and this wasn't our favorite vibrator! We've replaced it with a Lelo Liv, which we love a whole lot more!

Hmmm I like the look of this. What lubes are compatible with the material?
We generally use a water-based lube, like ID, and we're currently experimenting with some of the new JO products. We like the water-based ones because they are easier to clean-off afterward.
