Calypso 2 is a bullet pack intended for clitoral stimulation made by California Exotics. The silicone bullet can be used to stimulate the erogenous zones on the body as well as the clitoris and vaginal opening. The size of the bullet pack easily allows this toy to be used alone or with a partner. This toy is not safe for anal use due to the risk of the cord breaking.

Calypso 2 can be used in the bath or shower as well as in bed or wherever you prefer to take your toys. Both the bullet and attached controller pack can safely be taken into the water with no worries. As an added bonus, this toy is relatively quiet for the amount of power it offers.

The bullet itself is made of 'premium silicone' which is smooth on the larger portion and grooved as the bullet decreases in size near the wire. There is a small amount of drag when you run your un-lubricated finger along the surface but it isn't a noticeable issue when the bullet is in use. If you find the drag to be too much, just add a little water-based lubricant. There is no smell or taste to any part of this bullet pack.

The battery pack/controller is made of plastic that is matte on the bottom but smooth and shiny on the top. Your skin will glide easily over the top surface in comparison to the more matte bottom. There is no flexibility to the bullet or the back, but the wire between them is able to be manipulated in any direction.

The bullet portion of the pack is 3.5 inches long and 1 inch at the widest spot. The wire connecting the bullet to the control pack is 22.5 inches long and white in color. The control pack is 4 inches long and 1.5 inches wide which allows it to fit easily into your hand. The small size of both portions make it easy to hide this in a hurry or transport it if you're traveling.

The coloring of the bullet pack is actually quite nice. It is white with a purple line drawing on top to outline the control buttons and a purple colored band around the body. The bullet is also purple and matches the control pack well. The bullet pack has a removable piece that allows batteries to be placed inside and a rubber o-ring to make it waterproof. There are two buttons on the top, one for turning the power on and off and one for cycling through the vibration settings. I found the battery pack to be a little challenging at first but discovered that you need to press the little tab back down after replacing the cover to lock it back in place, otherwise the cover will just keep popping off or the vibe won't turn on.

The bullet shape reminds me a little of a closed flower bloom or a humpback whale. There is a large bump on one side of the bullet that is echoed in a smaller bump closer to the wire and on the other side a gentle indentation that is echoed by another closer to the wire. There are some grooves that start about an inch from the top that become more pronounced as you get closer to the wire.

Since this is intended for clitoral stimulation, the size can be enjoyed by both beginners and advances users alike.

To turn Calypso 2 on, just press the button with the circle and line on it after placing the batteries in it. A red light will come on under both buttons to indicate that the power is on. When you're ready for some vibrations, press the button with a squiggle on it. There are seven different vibration settings.

Vibration Setting 1- Steady vibration, the lowest setting in the pack and it is probably the equivalent of a 3 on the EF Vroom scale.

Vibration Setting 2- Steady vibration, medium- equivalent of a 4 on the Vroom Scale

Vibration Setting 3- Steady vibration, high- equivalent of a 5 on the Vroom Scale.

***The first 3 vibrations are the buzzy kind.

Vibration Setting 4-Escalating scale of vibrations that starts with a low thuddy vibration and moves to a high buzzy vibration.

Vibration Setting 5- Pulsing with half a second between each pulse which is at the high buzzy strength.

Vibration Setting 6- Fast pulsing with barely a pause between the pulses, also high and buzzy strength.

Vibration Setting 7- 4 pulses followed by a 3 second steady vibration, the pulses being slightly more thuddy and the steady vibration being high and buzzy strength.

To get back to a setting that you have moved passed you have to keep pressing the setting button until you come back around to it. To stop the vibrations, press the power button. The red light that is illuminated when the power is on pulses with the pattern that is currently selected.

It feels like the vibrations are located in the center of the bullet, but they can easily be felt throughout the bullet. The best vibration setting, in my opinion, is setting number 4 because it gives you more variety in the vibrations that are felt. I also found the medium steady setting to be enough to stimulate but not so much to numb. The control buttons on the pack are just barely raised which makes it necessary to look at them to know which one you are pushing. They do require a definite push, there is no accidental button pushing with these.

Even on the highest vibration setting, this bullet cannot be heard through a door unless it is laying against something hard. When used in the bath, I could hear the vibrations more if my ears were under water, but above water while the toy was submerged there wasn't a lot of noise. You would not be able to hear the vibrations over a running shower.

Speaking of having this pack under water, it did pass the waterproof test. I had the toy in the bath running on multiple settings and it continued to operate the entire time. The control pack floated, indicating that water was not getting into the pack and no water was found inside after removal from the water. Make sure you have the battery cover on securely before taking this in the water or you will risk damaging the pack.

The silicone portion of this toy can be cleaned with soap and water, a 10% bleach solution, or a toy cleaner. I would recommend soap and water for the plastic portion, but toy cleaner could also be used.

The silicone bullet does tend to attract lint, as most silicone toys do, so be sure to wash it before and after each use. If you feel the need to use lubricant with this bullet, make sure it is water-based and not silicone-based to avoid damage to the bullet.

When I first placed batteries into the Calypso 2 I became extremely frustrated. I put them in just like the slots indicated they should be but it wouldn't turn on and the back cover wouldn't STAY on. Things were not starting out well between us. I wasn't sure what I finally did but I got it to stay on and then everything was great. I was initially worried about trying this in the water with the battery cover problems, but it turned out not to be an issue. Since then, I have discovered that you just need to make sure you press the little tab that you use to remove the cover back down and it locks into place.

The vibrations on this bullet range from low medium to high. Most of them are buzzy and a little intense for my sensitivity level. I found the most enjoyable settings to be the medium steady vibration and the escalating vibration setting. The bullet is small enough to place between your labia and leave there during use with another toy or partner. I enjoy a lot pressure on my clitoris along with the vibrations and the material that the bullet is made out of allows for this without making it uncomfortable.
