A bullet style vibrator like the Calypso is a popular item for beginners and veterans alike.
This is a versatile item that can stimulate more then the lady bits.
The Calypso can be used for:

The Calypso is a great small toy that is not only strong enough to deliver climax to the above stated areas, but can do so outside of your bedroom. Since it is so small, it's great to travel with!

The Bullet:
The bullets cover is made from pure silicone. It has a very noticeable pull/friction while sliding your fingers down material. Towards the tip, is a motor buried inside the silicone. Here the bullet is not at all at all pliable, nor does it have much, if any movement. It's hard and should be expected to be such, as a motor is inside. Even with the density of the tip, the velvety silicone is silky soft and offers a slight cushion to your lady bits or other areas.
Towards the end of the bullet, near the cord, it is much more flexible. Moving the tail end of the bullet/silicone cover to a 45 degree angle is easily attained, but further down makes for more a difficult movement.

All in all, the material is superb for the price. This is a great, cheap luxury bullet that you won't find anywhere else fro the price point.

Design:
The silicone covered bullet measures: 4" across. It's wavy periwinkle shape has a larger circumference of 3.25" at the tip and a smaller circumference of 2" at the bottom. There are several waves throughout the bullet, all of which should cater to your particular sweet spot.

The cord is long but unfortunately does NOT have a pull out jack. Nevertheless, the cord reaches 22" from the control pack to the end of the bullet. Giving you plenty of room to play around.

The control pack is 4" long and about 2" across. It has a wave shape to fit in your hand comfortably. It features 2 buttons towards the top. A pretty design is displayed on the front of the battery pack that compliments the periwinkle bullet. There is a "Couture Collection" logo displayed on the top back. Near the bottom is the slide out battery housing. The cord is secured on the top of the control pack and seems to be tucked in nicely.
The buttons are flush with a shiny overlay ensuring no moisture will get stuck in between the buttons. Bottom line- the face of the control pack is seamless, 'nuff said.

Personal Comment:
I have had the Calypso for a few months now, and it is in my usual rotation. I actually have come to favor the Calypso, and have yet for the cord to pull, kink, or short out. It build is amazing, and honestly cannot say anything bad or critical about the design or build.

Control:
Controls are strong, almost a deep..thrumbly A bit of both worlds- your buzzy basic vibe and a higher end thumruble (...if you will). It also is quite surprising how strong the vibrations are, considering how quite it is.

The buttons are situated towards the top, while your hand is holding the control pack it is easy and more of a natural movement to hit the trigger.
With your thumb in place you would first hit the bottom button, this will turn the unit ON.
Once turning it on, the unit is void of any vibrations. Though you will notice that the power button features a red back light.
Now to cycle through the 7 functions of vibration, pulsation and escalation you must move your thumb up towards the top button. Here you will move from:
1: Steady Vibration (2.5 Vroom/1 Bee)
2 Steady Vibration (3 Vroom/1 Bee)
3 Steady Vibration (4 Vroom/1.5 Bee)
4: Rumbly Escalation (1-3 Vroom/1 Bee)
5: Pulsation (3 Vroom/1.5 Bee)
6:Faster Pulsation (3 Vroom/1.5 Bee)
7: Pulsation-Escalating Vibration (2-3 Vroom/1 Bee)
...Pressing the bottom button takes you back to 'OFF'.
It will not save your spot, nor will it let you back tract. You will have to keep cycling you find your favorite forte. It's quite easy to use with only 2 buttons and the back light is great for letting you know if it is on or not.
I actually like how once turned on it is quiet and void of vibration. It helps the battery life it if is accidentally pushed on. (Though, this would never happen since we all store our toys without batteries, right?!?)
The back light is also great, it mimics the vibrations, by dimming or lightly flashing. Also, lets not forget how handy that can be in the darkness. But careful and watch for the light, because this sucker is near silent when on full speed (Setting 3) and you may lose it in the covers. There is no way you could hear it above the covers. Meaning you are safe if the door is closed. No one would be able to hear it, ever, unless they were directly next to you.

Cleaning up is a breeze. Unfortunately the sleeve around the bullet is not removable.
To safety clean this toy: Wipe the toy down with warm soapy water, rubbing alcohol, toy cleaner or a 10% bleach mixture. Careful not to allow moisture in the battery housing or near the control pad. Rinse and let dry.

Always keep your toys completely clean and dry when storing. Use condoms when switching orifices to fend off bacteria and UTI's.

Always use waterbased lubricants with Silicone toys. Other lubricants can degrade the surfaces of silicone. Also, do not store with other silicone toys as silicone likes to bond to other silicone materials.

It is marketed as being waterproof. I have not tested this claim, and suggest you do not fully immerse the bullet or control pad into water.

As usual, The Calypso comes in a cardboard box. It has a nice design element to it, and is sans any tacky pictures. New comers will not be offended or embarrassed by the box. Making this a great toy to gift to a friend, or bride to be.
The packaging is not made to be used for storage.

I freakin' love this thing.
Although, I can't lie. At first I was disappointed. I wasn't used to the deeper vibrations, and it seemed weak. But once I started to use it more (out of curiosity) and wanting to like it since the shape is AMAZING I fell in love with it. I am used to the buzzy vibes from cheaper bullets, since I run though bullets so fast (usually with the cord breaking) I never buy up. I am glad I didn't buy up because this is PERFECT! It is a great mix between the rumble that you get from high end vibes, and buzzy vibes that you usually score for under $30.00. It just might take you a few try's to get used to it. Once you do (it won't take long) you will love it. The deeper vibes have a beautiful outcome, you will have a deep orgasmic experience properly so.
Outside of the price, the quality is amazing.
It hasn't died on me yet and I have only replaced the batteries once in 3 months (I use it weekly 4 times+). It feels nice, it looks nice and the cord is kept with a nice overlay leaving me to believe it will *never* kink or break, which is usually what I personally have issues with.
Since the face of the control pack is seamless I don't have to worry about crud/moisture (ew) getting stuck inside the buttons, which in turn could short the bullet inside.
The vibrations are super awesome and strong with a nice variety, there is noting to want, since with 7 settings you will literally have it in the palm of your hand.
Oh and did I mention its super quite?
With that said-if you have been considering this little guy, I suggest you go for it.

So why only 4 stars?
Well, I wish the cord was a tad bit longer. Since I like to use toys with my partner it seems that from time to time the cord gets twisted and tangled and lost between all the limps flailing about. If it was even 3-5 inches longer it would be prefect. I also think with as long as the the bullet sleeve is, they could of easily put a bigger bullet inside. I love it all the same, but I like my power and though this does the job right quick on a needy day, sometimes it takes a while since it can feel weak. 90% of the time the job is done diligently thanks to the Calypso, but that other 10% I need to grab something bigger. I am still looking for that *perfect* bullet. This so far, is the best one out there and I am glad that I gave it a second chance.
Bottom line-If it broke I would buy another because it is so great. My complaints are petty compared to how awesome this thing is!
