Well, It Is Waterproof...

An inexpensive, single-speed vibrator that will fill the need for those on a tight budget. It's simple, waterproof and small. You'll get off, but expect that your socks will stay on.

Use

...But that's probably the most amazing part of this toy, besides its low price. The Vibro Dolphin is from California Exotics; it's a clitoral vibrator with one speed, a waterproof battery chamber, and a jelly vibrating dolphin. It is quite small, so it could be used during intercourse or solo play.

Material / Texture

The handle/body of this toy is made from hard plastic, while the dolphin is made out of jelly. This means that the dolphin is very flexible and will carry the vibrations fairly well, but because of its flexibility there will be difficulty in creating any type of pressure on the clitoris to increase the feeling of vibration--which is why I recommend this toy for those that are more sensitive. This toy can be used with any type of lubrication, but the jelly dolphin cannot be sterilized, so this is not a toy for sharing.

Design / Shape / Size

The vibrations throughout the body of the toy are fairly strong, but the dolphin doesn't carry them as strongly. If you have a rather sensitive clitoris, this could be great for you, or it could be good at teasing/foreplay for others that are not so sensitive. As much as I tried to only use the dolphin for stimulation, as this is the purpose of the whole design, it wasn't enough for me to get off. I found myself ignoring the dolphin altogether and using the body of the vibrator instead. It's a small vibrator, not wider than two fingers and palm-size for the average hand, so it's quite travel-friendly and moderately discreet.

As stated on the packaging and the description, as far as I have been able to tell it is waterproof. There is a rubber seal around the battery compartment meant to block out water from seeping into the toy. I have not submerged this in water, but I have thus far safely used it in the shower.

Functions / Performance / Controls

To insert the batteries in this toy you have to twist and separate the two-piece handle. There are three functions to this handle: open, off and on, respectively. The most irritating part about this toy is turning it off without opening the battery compartment, because just a bit too far and it springs open. Also, because of the stiff plastic, it is kind of difficult to turn and can be a disaster when trying to turn it off with lubed hands. It only requires one AA battery, and it has lasted quite a while for me--over three months.
The vibrations are rather strong at the end of the toy, where the vibrator is located. It is definitely not noisy, to my surprise, and could barely be heard through the covers.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

Because of the jelly dolphin, this toy cannot be sterilized and is therefore not recommended for sharing. After use I wash with soap and water, and store it in a plastic bag amongst my other toys. It is easy to care for, and so far I have not seen any leakage or moisture seeping into the toy.

Packaging

The packaging was simple and minimal. It arrived in a plastic clamshell package with an image of a girl wearing a ridiculous bikini on a boat. Since dirt and dust can get through the sides of this type of packaging, make sure to clean your toy before its first use.

Experience

I have only used this for solo play thus far, and I find that whenever I do use it I completely bypass the jelly dolphin altogether and simply use the toy as a small vibrator. The vibrations are strong enough to get me off, and the dolphin can caress and tease other areas in the process. I have half a mind to just rip the dolphin off, but that's half of the appeal of the toy! I've got in mind to try the Rabbit Dancer fairly soon, to see if the dual ears will help carry the vibrations similar to a Rabbit-Style Vibrator.
Follow-up commentary
I decided to take a long bath recently and thought that there would be no better time to put this waterproof vibe really to the test. The combination of a fresh battery and hot water completely made this little vibe into a powerhouse. I was blown away at how different my experience was when used under water--the little dolphin really comes to life and feels great for rubbing along and around the clitoris. However, the vibrations seemed far louder in this environment, but that could be attributed to sitting in a giant metal basin. ;)

I have not noticed any additional wear-and-tear on the toy, the dolphin has stayed securely on top of the vibe, and none of the plastic has cracked. I still suggest storing this without the batteries, since the design of the toy and how it turns on could drain battery life when not in use.

I think this toy has a new home outside of the Toy Box--next to the tub!

Haha yeah, at least it's that. Definitely an "Adult Novelty". Sadly I think that's all it is.

The top of this just looks so uncomfortable.

At first I thought that it would be rather uncomfortable and, well, poke-y. However, it's really quite flexible and jelly-like, but still not the kind of stimulation I was going for.
