The sensual intruder packs a serious punch, despite its small stature. Less than three minutes after turning it on and pressing it to my clitoris, I was gasping for air and mewling with pleasure--and that was on the lowest setting! I consider myself a high-powered kind of girl, but the sensual intruder definitely lived up to its name. It completely caught me off-guard in a major way; which I, of course, had to reenact over and over again. The sensual intruder continues to "intrude" on a nightly basis but, somehow, I don't mind.

Both heads are made of TPR, which is soft to the touch and has a slight bit of give under pressure. The product is advertised as hypoallergenic and had no odor or taste whatsoever. It doesn't exactly feel smooth; your fingertips might just detect the porous nature of the material. There are creases from the molding, but I didn't find any catches or seams that would be irritating. The plastic base is a bit slippery when wet, so having a firm grip on the head is best for a good grip. The sensual intruder has a very average texture to it--nothing to write home about--but once I turned it on, I didn't really care WHAT the texture felt like.

This vibrator is thin and short compared to dildo vibrators, but large enough to be handled for clitoral, anal, or vaginal stimulation. I definitely, however, would not use this product for deep penetration. It's not much longer than a finger and has no flared base in case it's inserted too far. The Sensual Intruder is more a toy for teasing (or for sending them far over the edge). The interchangeable tips offer some novelty and variety. One is a system of ridges and the other a smooth head with a slanted tip. The first resembles something like an anal toy and the latter is a rounded pointy tip with a dedicated fingertip rest. (Ladies, if you've ever had a vibe slip out of your hands in the throws of passion, you'll appreciate that fingertip rest. It's completely ergonomic for clitoral pressure.)

The design is interesting. The base is a hard plastic with a nub that projects outward. The two heads slide on or off with little force. The toy is small enough to be somewhat discreet. It comes with a purple pouch that easily holds both tips and the base.

The power mechanism on the sensual intruder is a four-click button. 1-2-3 increase the speed of the vibrations and 4 turns it off. If you push the button too slowly or hold it in for too long, sometimes it doesn't register your clicks. Otherwise, it's very easy to use. These were seriously powerful vibrations. I was floored that something so small and quiet could knock me out so quickly. Its strength, unfortunately, drains a pair of AAA batteries after 3-4 moderate uses.

In terms of fun in the water, the packaging brags that this toy is water-proof, but the instructions limit that play to light water--no submersion.

I consider this toy to be fairly quiet, considering its intensity. A pillow or blanket easily masks the sound, but it sounds less like a vibrator and more like a low hum, almost like a fan.

The heads are made of TPR, a porous texture which requires condoms for safe sharing. I find the best way to clean them is with warm water and toy cleaner; the material seemed to absorb the smell of the soap temporarily when I tried it. Should you be lucky enough to get the base messy--and you probably will, judging by how squirmy I'm getting just thinking about it in the other room--it can be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap. You can use any number of lubricants on it that are either water- or silicone-based.

As mentioned previously, the toy does comes with its own drawstring pouch. I can't quite describe the material, sort of a blended fabric, but it did shed a little on the toy. It was nothing a little bit of water couldn't fix. It also has instructions to not house it with other toys as "certain materials can cause damage to other materials." Not sure if that was in reference to this toy in particular or just a general warning.

It's been extremely difficult to write this review without running off for some more "product testing." I have very few toys that inspire such outright lust in me, but the speeds, variations, and easy use on this one have quickly made it a personal favorite. My man has used it on me more than once--often after I've cum two or three times and can't be roused from my orgasmic stupor. A quick flick of the sensual intruder against my clit and I'm ready to go again, writhing like I'm in heat and begging for more. Should I be embarrassed that a toy can do that to me so easily?

Probably, but what the hell do I care? I'm too busy being intruded upon.
