Small, But Not That Mighty
I was really most disappointed by how quickly it went though batteries. The vibe is good, but it could be better considering how much juice it seems to use (and does produce)! Read more

Best use:

The vibrating egg can be used vaginally or on external erogenous zones, including the clitoris, testicles, breasts, or around the anus. The shape and size of both the egg and its control make it easy to maneuver across both your own body and your partner's, while freeing up one hand to use elsewhere. As a plus, the egg is waterproof, so its ten different vibrating functions can be enjoyed anywhere. I do not recommend inserting this into the anus, as the cord is not built to be a removal cord and may rip out of the toy when tugged on.

Both beginner and advanced users will enjoy the large, smooth body of the egg and its great variety in vibrations. With or without lube, this toy runs easily over skin, with the wide tip allowing for plenty of stimulation.

  • Material / Texture:

    The vibrating egg is made out of a non-porous phthalates free velvet-coated plastic. The seamless plastic is hard and smooth, yet feels very velvety to the touch. Any lubricant can be used with this, as the plastic is compatible with water-, silicone-, and oil-based. The only piece marring the smoothness of the egg is the ring protecting the battery compartment from water. I noticed my egg also has a small line like a dimple near the tip, though that might only be a flaw on mine. It's not really noticeable to me unless I repeatedly run my finger over that spot. I definitely like the smooth feel of this toy. Ridges or bumps in texture don't feel right to me at all.

  • Design / Shape / Size:

    The design of the egg is pretty basic. Unlike some vibrating egg toys, this one looks more like a bullet or an elongated egg. The only thing really keeping this from looking like a big bullet vibrator is the fact that the end used for stimulation is less rounded. However, I feel the extra length allows for more room to hold on to this while using it. Because of the variety in functions, both beginner and advanced users will enjoy the vibrating egg.

    The egg measures about 3 1/4 inches long and 4 1/4 inches in circumference. The button is pretty small and is located on a small piece of plastic which is attached to the cord. The cord is 3 1/4 inches long, which allows you to easily reach the control button with the same hand holding the egg. Both ends of the cord are sealed with small rubber rings. Having one hand completely free during use allows you to explore other parts of your or your partner's body.

    The base of the toy unscrews to open the battery compartment. The other end of the toy has a ring of contact metal around it on the inside, so you just place two batteries and screw the other end back on. This has a lot of twists around to get the toy put together again, plus a rubber ring to seal out water effectively. Two AAA batteries are used to power the egg, which are included.

    I feel that this is a little too big in circumference for me to comfortably insert vaginally, so we just use it externally. When using it vaginally, make sure not to pull on the cord to remove the egg. Either use your PC muscles to push or grasp the base to pull this back out. I feel the small cord and even smaller control allows for this toy to be easily used in public. The cord can be tucked into underwear without any bulge.

    I feel this toy can be pretty easy to hide. The egg and cord can fit easily into a sock ball or can be stored in a sex toy storage box without taking up much room at all. It should work well with travel, though anyone inspecting baggage at the airport is going to know what it is.

  • Functions / Performance / Controls:

    The vibrating egg features ten different functions, all of which are different. When turned on, vibrations can be felt in the entire toy, with both the base and tip having equal amounts of vibration. During use, the control button is easy to reach and press with one hand, regardless of how slippery that hand or the button are. As far as the sound level goes, I think this is pretty quiet. It can easily be heard through blankets and probably can be heard through a lightweight door. Music or the TV can easily drown out the noise, though. This performs exactly as it should in the water and can be used safely in the tub or shower. Water is held out by rubber rings at the ends of the cord and around the battery compartment.

    The ten different functions can be cycled through by pressing the control button. Holding this button for 3 seconds turns it off, as well as cycling through all of the functions. Holding the button for 3 seconds and then turning it back on does not start the toy back up where it left off, it starts off at low again.

    - Short pulses of super low-low-medium-high-super high, each one giving two pulses before increasing in intensity (-- -- -- -- --)
    - Several medium length pulses of super high vibrations with some space in between each, followed by a string of short, fast high pulses (__ __ __ __ __ __ ------)
    - 5-6 seconds of constant high vibration followed by fast medium pulses (_________ - - - -)
    - 2-3 seconds of constant high vibration followed by 6-7 seconds of fast medium pulses (____ - - - - - - -)

    Out of the ten speeds, I like the low and the pattern like /\/\/\ the most. I am a little sensitive, so I usually tend to prefer lower speeds, though this pattern kind of slowly builds you up to more intense vibrations without pulsing them so fast that they hurt me a little.

  • Care and Maintenance:

    The vibrating egg is pretty easy to care for. It can be washed in a sink with soap and warm water, wiped with isopropyl alcohol, or cleaned with toy cleaner. This is safe to be stored with other toys, though keeping it in a plastic bag or the original packaging will keep it ready for its next use. All types of lubricants are compatible with this toy.

    I store mine in the original packaging, so that it is ready for me the next time I want to use it. I recommend storing the batteries out of the toy, as they can corrode inside of it and will wreck it.

  • Packaging:

    The packaging for this toy is a little bulky. There is a cardboard box with a plastic snap closed carton inside. The front window of the box is cut away to show the egg inside. On the front of the packaging there is green and pink text displaying the features (waterproof, 10 speeds, velvet coating), as well as the name of the toy and the brand, Shots Toys. On the back and sides, there is a short description of the egg in several different languages. A small diagram displays how to cycle through the functions and how to turn this off using the control button. Inside the packaging is a folded paper with pictures of more toys by Shots Toys, as well as a tiny product registration form.

    I feel the packaging can be used to give this as a gift. It is pretty discreet to read. While the packaging says "toys," it does not say "sex toy" anywhere. There's also no pictures of naked people or how to use this or anything. The only image is that in the diagram.

  • Experience:

    My partner and I both enjoyed using the vibrating egg externally. I feel the circumference is too big for me to insert it vaginally. He used it on me around my vaginal opening and clitoris. I used it along his shaft and on his testicles. For lubrication, we used Bodyfluid, which is silicone based. This allowed the egg to glide right over our skin, providing vibrations where we wanted them when we wanted them.
