The Metal Worx vibrator has moderate power and volume, and a simple shape. It manages to stand out from the pack thanks to its smooth steel surface, 10 functions, and convenient storage case. While the product page lists this vibrator as being made from stainless steel, both the packaging and Pipedream's website only refer to the material as high-quality steel. Unlike stainless, steel can rust or tarnish.
The steel is body-safe, nickel-free, and non-porous. It is completely smooth and shiny, with no flaws in the surface, and won't require lubricant for most people. The material has a bit of weight to it, which lends a high-quality feel. The vibrator will feel cold at room temperature; you can warm it in your hand or some warm water before use, or cool it further in cold water.
The Metal Worx vibrator is shaped like a traditional bullet, with a few changes. It has a blunt tip, so it isn't "pokey" like some bullets can be, and it allows for a slightly broader area to be stimulated. It is also longer than most bullets, coming in at 4 1/2 inches. The extra length makes it easier to hold onto the toy. It is 3/4 inch wide.
The small size makes this vibrator very easy to hide or travel with.
On the end of the toy is a button which controls the vibrations. Unlike the rest of the toy, this button doesn't feel very high-quality when pressed, and remind me of a cheap pen. It doesn't click between settings.
There is an indentation on the battery cap, which makes it easier to grip and unscrew. Inside the cap, there is an o-ring to prevent water from leaking inside. There is a piece of card inside the compartment which should be left in place, and shows which direction the battery should be inserted in. The vibrator runs on one AA battery.
The material makes this toy seem a bit more attractive and classy than other bullets.
If I could, I would give this toy 3 1/2 vrooms. The Metal Worx vibrator is stronger and less buzzy than a watch-battery powered bullet, but not as strong as most full-sized vibrators. It's similar in power to a pocket rocket, or other small vibrators that run on a single AA. The vibrations are medium in pitch (neither buzzy or rumbly) and will be strong enough for most women.
The vibrations are strongest in the flattened tip, but travel well throughout the short length of the toy.
The toy isn't extremely loud, but also isn't what I would consider quiet. The vibrations can be slightly heard through my bedroom door, but if used under the covers or with some background noise, they won't be heard by someone in the hallway.
With 10 vibration settings, the Metal Worx vibrator should have something to please almost everyone:
1. Low, steady vibrations
2. Medium, steady vibrations
3. High, steady vibrations
4. High for 4 seconds, then a 1 second pause
5. Short pulses
6. Long pulses
7. 3 medium pulses, then a pause
8. 1 second pulse, then 1 second pause
9. Very short pulses
10. Short, medium, long pulsing
The settings can be cycled through by pressing the button, and the toy can be turned off by holding the button down for 2 seconds.
The Metal Worx vibrator is easy to keep clean since it is non-porous and waterproof; just wash it with soap and water or toy cleaner. Steel is compatible with an type of lubricant.
The Metal Worx toys come packaged in cases that are perfect for storage. The case is a good bit larger than the toy itself, but is still pretty small and won't take up excessive space. The case and closure are sturdy, and the toy is nestled in a bed of foam for protection. The foam is removable if you would like to store other things inside.
The top and bottom of the box have labels stuck on. The top has a picture and description of the vibrator, and the bottom has some product information and instructions. The stickers can be peeled off, but you will still be left with the Metal Worx and Pipedream logos on the top of the case, which prevents it from being completely discreet.

Mmmm I want this!
Talk about complete austere simplicity. WOW. Neat looking in it's purity of form.
I dislike that the description on all these says to put them in the freezer you should use the refrigerator or an ice bath you want to avoid over cooling, think tongue on flagpole.
This one makes me excited for some reason.
Looks far too slim for my liking. But I love the idea.
Gosh, this looks lovely! I wonder how many vrooms it has?
