When my girlfriend and I engage in restraint
s it does varry depending on the length of the session. The longer will involve.ropes.

Go slowly, and communicate with your partner! Those are the big ones. I'd also advise starting with very light bondage until you feel more comfortable. For instance, start with just wrist cuffs, and once you feel comfortable in those, add ankle cuffs. Stick with cuffs, rope bondage is tricky and can get dangerous in inexperienced hands.

I particularly like the Fresh line of restraints. They're sturdy, pretty, comfortable and effective. Here are the links to the Fresh wrist cuffs, Fresh ankle cuffs, and Fresh buckle collar. Id suggest getting a couple of carabiners to attach the the cuffs to the bed post (or whatever). Have fun!

I prefer cuffs. Easy to put on/take off, no real fuss! But basic rope work is plenty fun too.

I'm a cuffs and spreader bar person. Rope work is beautiful, but I don't have the skill for it. I might take a glass if my lazy behind gets around too it.

I love the look of shibari, but I've never tried it due to the work involved. Simple ropework, cuffs, and velcro seem to fit our style better as we don't want to stop what we're doing for very long.

The only thing I have for now is ropes, but I actually know of, I think, the best bondage method: psychological bondage. Ordering the sub not to move and actually slap them when they do so. If you don't have enough control on them, they will move all the time, but eventually they get so tame they won't even dare...

I love rope or tough yarn, it's so sexy because it doesn't involve much set-up at all and is great for quick dominating. Also, being tied up with a belt. That's by far my favorite.
