mostly because of their solid construction and i know they ain't going to tighten unexpectedly and strangle my wrist!

Cuffs, provided they are able to tighten enough to prevent me from pulling a Houdini- they also give the added benefit of allowing suspension or more secure attachment to furniture.

I like both, cuffs are better for more hardcore use and suspension. However ties are better for romantic times and are more versatile.

Cuffs. They are generally safer. Ties can cause nerve damage or cut off circulation.
