Sometimes its not on the actual day of my birhthday, but we always celibrate one way or another.

Birthdays seemed to lose their point after I turned 18. Up until then there was the goal of steadily reaching adulthood, and now birthdays just represent youth fading away.

Growing up, I was raised as a Jehovah's witness, so I didn't celebrate for over 12 years. When we stopped attending and fell out of the religion, I have now. I kinda go overboard to make up for the years I missed. lol

I never celebrate. My birthday is more of an excuse to gather with friends. This year, I "celebrated" my birthday at the end of August. My real birthday is in the middle of May. Whatever. Food. Friends. That's all I need.

We usually try to do something special whether it's just dinner out somewhere or a movie at our favorite local theater that's half the price of the chain ones. Sometimes we just buy a new dvd and order food at home and other times we just spend time together doing something fun like a picnic or fishing.
