I like to joke with my husband that I'm only a meat eater in the bedroom. But, we are looking for good recipes using gluten as a meat substitute. Anyone have any good recipes out there for making mock meat with gluten (or vital wheat protein)?
I'm certainly not a vegetarian, but my dad recently bought me a bag of vital wheat gluten to add to all-purpose flour to make it more like bread flour, so my baking comes out right. But at the moment it's eighty miles away. I'm pretty sure it has a recipe for false meat on it, so when I go home in a few days I'll check it out for ya.
