Hummus a la Sneakers

-1 small to medium clove garlic (can add more if you like)
-about 2 cups-ish cooked or canned garbanzo beans
-juice of 1 lime (you can use lemon, we like lime)
-2tablespoons tahini*
-1/4-1/2 cup water
-a few tablespoons of olive oil
-spices to taste (salt, pepper, cumin, paprika)

*Tahini is a sesame paste that can be found in the ethnic, health food, or nut butter sections of the grocery store. If you can't find it, you can substitute peanut butter. It has a slightly different and sweeter flavor, but it does work. Tahini is better, though.

Remove peel of garlic and chop in food processor. Add garbonzo beans, lime juice, tahini (or peanut butter), water (start with 1/4 cup and add more later if necessary), and spices. Process until smooth-ish. Drizzle in olive oil, a few tablespoons at a time, and process until smooth. If you think you've added quite a bit of olive oil and it still isn't smooth after processing, add a little more water.

Their coverage was just awful. They didn't feature hardly any of the other teams and rarely talked about any of their background stories; they were just vomiting American pride profusely and shamelessly. It would have been nice if ABC had covered them instead. less
