Oh, I understand. It happens to me every time a new model comes out, but right now, I'm saving up for a new macro lens and an underwater camera housing.

That's tough. I was a part-time student with two jobs (1 full and 1 part), pregnant, and with a toddler. I know!

Besides school, I work with two photography projects and one international journal.

If they don't bring in a steady paycheck, it's certainly hard to think of them as "jobs"
