Although I didn't try it, there was a double dead guy ale at the brewfest tonight (so, twice the hops and malts). It was probably mighty intense.

I didn't know that was a 'style' of beer. Yes! Tart is the word. Light and Tart.

Portland (the closest big city to me) has the greatest per capita breweries of any city in the world (Munich, Ger. is second), so I figure there's no point in going outside the Northwest.

The rotator cuff is from trying to remove dozens of rusted on bolts and pipes.... the wrist is from (and this is embarrassing) falling while kicking a soccer ball to my daughter while wearing sandals.

There is this store in NJ that is like a large grocery store, and it only sells beer, wine, and harder alcohol. They have two beer isles. One is all cases of regular beer that you see everywhere, and the other is all interesting stuff. It's soo cool. Half the one isle is all singles, so you can 'make your own 6-pack' and single many many different beers. That is where I tried the Delerium.

If you think that is tart, you should try a true sour beer. They are ridiculously tart. There's a brewery out here that specializes in them. Usually they are barrelled with fruit to cut the tartness, and they end up being quite......interesting .

At the local liquor store here on my college campus you can do the make your own 6-pack thing. I was so excited when they started that 2 years ago because I could finally buy my kind of beer in town and not have to get it in Chicago. That liquor store is the WORLD's largest importer of Keystone...so it was quite a shock when they started stocking things like Dog Fish.

It's the simple things that hurt us the most. The last time I screwed up my back was when I pulled a pair of socks out of the drawer.

I feel for ya man.
