Whole Gift Card Spent?

Contributor: MeliPixie MeliPixie
So, it's not a HUGE deal since my gift cards all come from EdenPoints, but I'd like to know about this anyway.

I had a little over $60 for a gift card for my last order, but my order only totaled a little over $55. Still, it took my entire gift card as payment, even though there clearly should have been about $5 left on it, is that normal? Or should I submit a support ticket?

If this is the norm, then I will calculate the total cost plus shipping FIRST, and then exchange only that many points into a gift card.

If you go to "Gift Cards" in your account panel, it should show you the gift cards you've use or still have credit on. It might be over there.

And it usually adds shipping into your total. If you still have a problem, submit a support ticket.

Actually the ~$55 was including the shipping, but thanks for the possible reason for using the whole amount.

Keeping an eye on this because I've noticed this twice! The second time it was only about $.50 so it wasn't a big deal but I've seen this a couple of times as well!!!

I had this happen in reverse, where a giftcard was 9 cents short but got counted as enough anyway.

I'd chalk that up to Eden's usual generosity

When I've had a 'you won at a club meeting' giftcard for $25 and my order was $17, after I applied the gift card they said "remaining balance $8" right in the cart, so I just transferred that to my spreadsheet where I hold my gift card data.

I've always converted points to giftcards in exactly the dollars and cents I need, but I think Miss D's right, if you look at your giftcards the remaining balance should be there.
