If I wrote for Eden Cafe

Contributor: Chris Corrigan Chris Corrigan
Hi all-

I'm considering trying to write for Eden Cafe. My idea as of right now is to write blog-type posts about the daily life experiences of a Gay Trans-Guy. Now, I want to stray away from the typical conversations that always happen in our community. You know what I'm talking about: binding, passing, packing, name changes, acquiring hormones, etc.

I'd like some input as to what you guys would want to read about whether it's sex gone humorously wrong, being kinky and trans, etc. I want to shoot for my writing to be more out there and the first of its kind having frank discussions of what it's really like to be trans.

Have at it.

i personally am very underexposed to the world of gay trans-guydom, or transgender issues in general. from small-town kentucky, i met my first transgender person only in the past 6 months, at the age of 25! i didnt even know what 'T' was.

any and all issues are interesting to me! you'd be surprised how little some people know, and it is fair game, all of it.

i say put your heart out there, write about the deepest most taboo subjects you care to. be gutsy, you're anonymous here! get your stories out there! we want to hear it all.

I'd be interested in reading pretty much all of the above. Kinky and trans would be especially interesting, especially with all the norms kinky people sometimes get caught up in (for example, see ideals for a male rope top).

I'd love to read about personal life experience. Whatever you wanted to write about would be great, but the main thing that I'm curious about is the most personal - How does it feel to be a gay trans-guy in today's world. What makes you happy? What makes you rage? Do you ever wish you were different than you are?

I look forward to seeing your work.

I also look forward to seeing your work. I feel like the trans community is almost ignored in our regular media, so it would be wonderful to read about the nit picky aspects when living as a trans person. good luck!

I would love to see new stuff on a topic that doesn't get discussed much! I'm with Silverdrop on what things I'd like to see too, I want to know how you feel during all of your day to day activities.

Hope to see your writing soon!

As another trans guy, I would love to see what you have to say.

I would love to read about an entire night out from your eyes. Like, going to a club, or a restaurant, what your thoughts are about the people around you, the surrounding atmosphere, what you want to do next, etc. Like a free-flowing brain dump of the night.

But that's just me.

I'm going out for adult drinks with a friend on Friday night. I'll keep this one in mind! I already have one post submitted that hasn't been published yet on EC. I'm starting a list of blog topics I could write about.

I think the best thing you can possibly do is just write about whatever comes up in your life that you feel is interesting. If you choose one category, there are going to be a whole lot of other things you may want to share that won't fit with the 'theme' that people would like to hear but end up missing out on, or you may end up running out of things in that particular category to write about for a certain amount of time.

I am a gay trans-guy also, still not on T yet or anything, but I would like to hear absolutely anything about what is going on for other transguys, and there isn't a whole lot of that on EdenCafe yet.
