Anyone agree that Movie Theater Popcorn tastes better then anything made at home? If so, anyone know the secret?

I like making it at home better. Then I can put nutritional yeast on it and not have all that butter, but I'm weird.

since it's made specifically for popcorn and they buy the kernels instead of using pre-made bagged popcorn.
You can get an even better taste buying kernels and using a skillet with a lid - tastes damned good
but it's mostly the preserved butter that gives bagged popcorn the shit smell and blah taste

I googled this and there are tons of recipes purporting to recreate movie theater butter at home. I just load up every rare time I go out to the movies. At home it's lots of butter, salt, and spanish paprika.

I hate movie popcorn. I like home popped kernels with a tiny bit of popcorn oil and salt.

I think the difference may be trans fats

I actually think that homemade tastes better...because I like to douse it with hot sauce!
