Do you use To Catch a Predator to teach kids?

Contributor: Falsepast Falsepast
I think it would be a good idea, if people don't already, to show their kids episodes of To Catch a Predator to prevent them from chatting with random people online (at least while they're underage).

Aside from that, it's just hilarious how stupid when these guys are. XD

I wouldn't no, well I guess it would depend on the age. But now with kids being more familiar with computers that ages is younger than I feel comfortable allowing to watch that show. I watch it and I like it and think it's a good idea and would like to see an updated one but some of the things said or how some of them men show up (like naked), I don't feel is appropriate for certain ages. I would talk to my child about it but on a level that is better for them without the graphic words or the scary men on screen.
I don't have a kid yet but plan to within the next 3-5 years and I plan on monitoring their internet usage, like how the show suggested to keep a computer in the living room instead of in a room where the child can be alone. I also know as a young teen (13-15) I got on chat rooms like yahoo and people were just DIRTY, my child won't be using yahoo. I was uncomfortable with that talk right away so I just blocked those people and I knew from school talks and things that I should do that and not talk to those people. Besides sexually charged conversations weren't my priority at that age, I already knew about sex but was more concerned with shopping, sleep overs, and other girly things.
