So, my guy and I love watching TV together in our free time! Lately, we have been going through shows pretty quickly, and are interested in trying new shows out, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for shows that they think are just so awesome they must share them with us

To get an idea of the types of shows we watch, some of our recent absolute favorites have been The Wire, Dexter, The Shield, Six Feet Under, The Office, and Breaking Bad.

He doesn't like shows such as CSI or Criminal Minds (yet) so I am thinking anything along those lines wouldn't work too well for him. I love something "supernatural" like True Blood but he is not a fan of things with vampires or based too much on religion.

We both love comedy along the lines of The Office or Eastbound Down and Out.

Any and all suggestions are welcome! Plus, here's a chance to talk about shows along those lines that many of us may not have heard of

Well, I'm a big fan of The Mentalist. That's quite a bit like Dexter (oddball main character) and a quirky sense of humour. Can't think of anything like CSI off the top of my head, though if you want something else that's a cop show, then you might want to try Blue Bloods. Its first season has just finished. And it has Tom Selleck .

Yes, really like The Mentalist. Have you considered Boardwalk Empire on HBO?

We actually just finished the first season of Boardwalk Empire, and are super excited for the next season to air later today!!! We are really looking at The Mentalist
