We started our BR makeover a while back but still have a lot to do. So far all we've conquered is the bed, carpeting, curtains, and some wall decor. There's 'before & after' pix at the very bottom of this page: Bedroom
We still need to work on the rest of the furniture (like refinishing the dresser) and are saving up for new bedside tables and some misc things. I think we're eventually going to turn that into a canopy bed too.

I like the pieces you've chosen so far. Not sure on which chair would work best, but I like the rug you have linked (as opposed to the pure ivory you mentioned) and I favor the silver lamp over the lava lamp.

thank you. I think I will get the lava lamp as well but it will be a accent piece not the lamp by the bed. I ask interior design experts on justanswere. com questions I pick things out and say does this work well together and what color would work best for this kind of questions.

All I have so far is the comforter glad I got it the Ivory color is sold out now. I may get the pillow when I get paid again. I have a TON of things to go through in here before I can paint. The number 1 things I need is new bed and carpet!

I think I will go with the zebra print chair.

Also going to frame favorite quotes on wall.


I hope you guys like your room. I think its too dark and old fashioned for my taste though.
