No, We live out in the country and can only get up to 3MBps. That doesn't mean that it runs at 3MBps but has the ability to go up to that much.

Oh wow! I was just getting annoyed about the speed while going online just a min ago! I have Hughes net and they have given unbelievable problems, but we deal with it because it's the ONLY internet on my road that runs up here! For the most part though, it runs really good. It's complicated, the way Hughes does their customers, but thankfully the hours I'm online aren't during the AM or early day so I'm able to do pretty well. When it's near time for the bill, they cut you off and a lot of times for a week it'll barely run and often the couple of days before the actual bill date, we won't be able to connect at all. It's shitty. Like I said though, it works fine during the night hours unless they have something f'd up happening like cutting us down for no reason. Right now I was having trouble with it and getting upset and when I went to check the modem, my cat was in there sleeping on the little table the modem sits on. I think that's effecting it.

Absolutely not. 1 MB/s is just not the way to live. I'll be able to upgrade it quite soon, though.
