What's really fun to mess with other Americans' heads is the term for garterbelts - the Commonwealth calls them "suspenders". So whenever I say "stockings and suspenders" I get really weird looks; the most original response to it was "Those must be mighty long suspenders."

They'd die if they knew what a Parson's Nose was.
