Usually. There have only been a handful of circumstances where I did not and I've never unfollowed anyone. Aside from being the polite thing to do, I really do miss a lot of the reviews that fly by when I'm not glued to the RSS feed for them, so it really helps grab my attention.

I'm glad you've started this thread. I'm probably the guilty one you're talking about, I didn't follow you back. I have a habit of not following people back, not that I'm ignoring every one who's following me, but I don't go to my wall much, so I'll miss whatever updates there are anyways. Even though I'm not automatically informed about every one's latest activities on the site, I always check the latest new threads and reviews, so I usually won't miss out anything interesting my followers have done. Hope you're not upset with me!

I try to, but I know some slip through the cracks. I don't visit my wall much either, I've even been guilty of overlooking PMs for extended periods of time.

Yup. I wish there was a way to filter the wall postings though to see posts from the people I actually interact with as opposed to everyone I've followed.

It really depends. If it's someone I've spoken to or that leaves a heartfelt comment when they follow (ie, "Your reviews really help me to make informed decisions about products and are fun to read" or something like that) then I do, but if they're a silent follower (no comment, have no idea why they're following me, etc) then I don't.

I look at their profiles, and if there is something that puts me off for any reason, I don't, but that is very rare. 99% of the time, I will follow them back.

I always check my Wall and observe who is following me. I feel that if they took the time to visit my Profile, I would like to respond in kind! It is analogous to 'stopping and smelling the Roses'. We are too wrapped up in our affairs not to appreciate the interests of others.
